THE KING’S DAUGHTERS’ OFFICE STRUCTURE<br />

THE ROLE OF THE <strong>KD</strong> OFFICE STAFF<br />

<strong>The</strong> <strong>KD</strong> staff is responsible for enforcing <strong>KD</strong> policies, federal and state laws governing nonprofits,<br />

contractual agreements and any other legal policies to which <strong>The</strong> King’s <strong>Daughters</strong> or<br />

the <strong>Circle</strong>s may be accountable. This includes ABC license requirements, raffle regulations,<br />

insurance coverage, Event Print Materials, etc.<br />

<strong>The</strong> staff will oversee all correspondence to ensure consistent, professional and accurate<br />

presentation of information. Correspondence includes event flyers, invitations, tickets, request<br />

and thank you letters, information to other <strong>Circle</strong>s, bulk mailings, etc. <strong>The</strong> <strong>KD</strong> staff must review<br />

all correspondence before allowing use of <strong>The</strong> King’s <strong>Daughters</strong> letterhead or name and logo.<br />

<strong>The</strong> <strong>KD</strong> office provides <strong>Circle</strong> Project publicity in the Circular (<strong>KD</strong> bi-monthly newsletter) and on<br />

the <strong>KD</strong> website. <strong>The</strong> office can assist <strong>Circle</strong>s with a publicity plan for <strong>Circle</strong> projects when<br />

needed.<br />

<strong>The</strong> office can assist with various print services “in-house” including: flyers, tickets, posters,<br />

event programs, brochures, signage, etc. <strong>The</strong> staff may also provide assistance with layout<br />

design and content. We ask that you allow 7-10 days turnaround time for office staff requests.<br />

<strong>The</strong> office may advise use of outside printer when necessary.<br />

THE <strong>KD</strong> OFFICE STAFF:<br />

Department Secretary<br />

• Serves as first point of contact via phone and walk-ins for <strong>KD</strong> office staff.<br />

• Coordinates meetings at CH<strong>KD</strong>, <strong>Circle</strong> Tours, etc.<br />

• Processes Project Application & Completion Process and prepares communications to<br />

<strong>Circle</strong>s.<br />

• Serves as Staff Liaison for <strong>Circle</strong> canisters, linens and gifts and volunteer hours reporting<br />

• Handles all <strong>KD</strong> Database updates<br />

*Includes all Membership, Major Project Sponsors and Patrons updates
