A vegetated roof is now installed and functioning on the pedestrian pergola at<br />

the <strong>West</strong> <strong>Pymble</strong> <strong>Shops</strong>, <strong>Phillip</strong> <strong>Mall</strong>. The covered walkway is an area of ten<br />

metres by 3 metres and consists of vegetation which requires little<br />

maintenance whilst enduring the extreme harsh conditions. (reflected heat<br />

from surrounding roof surfaces)<br />

Plant species include grasses- Kangaroo Grass Themeda Australis and<br />

Wallaby grass Danthonia sp. and flowering herbs-native daisy Brachycome sp<br />

and Fan flower Scoevola sp.<br />

Captured storm water is recycled to irrigate the garden.<br />
