NEVER LEAVE AN INFANT ON THIS MATTRESS. INFANTS 12 MONTHS OF AGE OR YOUNGER CAN SUFFOCATE WHEN
LYING ON THE MATTRESS OR WHEN TRAPPED BETWEEN THE MATTRESS AND THE FRAME. INFANTS CAN ALSO SUF-
FOCATE WHEN ADULTS MISTAKENLY LAY OVER THEM IN BED.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
(PLEASE FOLLOW CAREFULLY)
Assemble frame and pedestal in accordance with manufacture’s instructions. Once filled, the bed cannot be moved unless drained.
Follow the heater manufacturer’s instructions when using a heater. Failure to comply will void your warranty and may prove hazardous.
After the frame and pedestal are assembled and heater is in place, carefully unfold the liner within the frame taking care to smooth out all
wrinkles. Attach the liner to the frame according to the instructions. If self-supporting liner is used, position it snugly into all corners and
carefully smooth out all wrinkles. Remember, if your mattress should leak, the liner will have to hold the entire contents of the water
mattress. Failure to comply will void your warranty and may prove costly as well as hazardous.
Carefully unfold the water mattress, place it within the safety liner, and position it so that all sides are straight and equal inside the frame. It
is very important that you take time to smooth out all of the wrinkles in the water mattress.
Using a waterbed adapter, insert water hose into the valve on the water mattress, and slowly turn on water (always flush hose thoroughly
before attaching it to the bed). Use cold to warm water only, never use hot water. The highest point of the water mattress should not be
more that nine (9) inches. Caution: Do not over fill water mattress. fill only to top of liner. When done filling, place the plug and cap on the
valve and wipe up any water that may have spilled.
Grasp the water mattress near the valve, and lift the valve above the water level while an assistant presses down with a pillow, on the water
mattress. Gently move the air bubbles toward the valve. When the air is removed, close the valve by inserting the plug and screwing the
cap on firmly. Repeat this process as often as needed.
To prevent bacteria, use an approved waterbed conditioner every six (6) months or when ever the mattress is drained.
Unplug the waterbed heater (This is critical)! A fill and drain kit containing a simple siphon that operates on house water pressure may be
purchased at most waterbed stores. This will make draining easy. Carefully read instructions that come with the siphon. After the water
mattress has been completely drained remove nozzle and replace plug and cap. Allow as little air to enter the mattress as possible.
Use an ordinary mattress pad to protect the water mattress and retain the heat. If you should need to wash the surface, use a mild soap
and water. Although your bed is made of the finest materials and is tough and durable, it is not indestructible. It is unwise to use sharp
objects, such as scissors, sewing equipment, toys, etc... on your waterbed.
If you are unable to locate the leak, dry your water mattress and place a light colored towel (one that will show moisture easily) around the
perimeter of the bed. If this doesn’t work, drain the mattress and carefully place it on dry pavement. Fill the mattress with 2” to 3” of water
and look for moisture on the pavement. This should enable you to locate the leak. Always circle the leak with a felt tip pen before folding
the mattress. If further assistance is needed call the retail store where you purchased the mattress.
