INTRODUCTION
This is a three-day meeting focusing to update the
practicing pathologists on recent updates in various
fields of oncologic surgical pathology including new
entities, controversial areas and molecular aspects of
contemporary diagnostic pathology.
The workshop will consist of lectures and will be richly
illustrated with slide demonstrations. Emphasis will be
placed on the recognition of diagnostic problems and
pitfalls and approaches to resolving differential
diagnostic dilemmas. Clinical and histological correlation
will be amply illustrated.
GOAL
The main goal is to provide a general and
comprehensive review of histopathology and molecular
diagnostics as applied to a wide variety of organ
systems.
OBJECTIVES
• To provide an in-depth and updated review of many
important topics related to the histopathology of
neoplastic conditions.
• To provide a background understanding and
applicability of the main molecular diagnostic tests
to tumours in a wide range of organs.
• To foster opportunities for research and
international collaboration.
• To provide a forum for networking and exchange of
experience as well as opportunities for regional cooperation
including support for training and CME
activities.
SUITABILITY
This workshop is suitable for both general and subspecialised
pathologists as well as pathologists in
training programs (residents).
