Lead Rein Pony. Open to all ponies under 13hh, pony must be suitable for a child rider. To be judged on<br />

suitability for the child rider, manners and way of going.<br />

First <strong>Ridden</strong>. Open to all ponies under 13hh suitable for riding off lead rein by a child rider. To be judged<br />

on way of going, manners and suitability.<br />

and way of going.<br />

<strong>Ridden</strong> Mountain and Moorland Part Breeds. To be judged on trueness to type, conformation, movement<br />

and way of going.<br />

<strong>Ridden</strong> Coloured: Open to any piebald, skewbald, appaloosa, or paint horse. To be judged on conformation,<br />

movement and way of going.<br />

TARRA <strong>Ridden</strong>: Open to all Thoroughbreds unraced and raced 4 years and over, who are registered with<br />

Weatherbys (passport will be checked). Racing name of horse to be used where appropriate. The first two<br />

placed will qualify for the TARRA <strong>Ridden</strong> Championships to be held in September 2010. If the first two<br />

have qualified then qualification will pass down the line to 4th place, only if there are 6 or more entries in<br />

the class. If fewer entries than 6, then qualification will pass to 1st and 2nd placed only. Injuries caused<br />

through racing such as blemishes allowed. Class to be judged on manners, way of going, ride/individual<br />

show and conformation. The Judge may ride. Judge’s decision is final.<br />

Riding Horse. Open to all suitable horses over 15hh. To be judged on type, suitability, conformation and<br />

way of going.<br />

<strong>Ridden</strong> Arab and Part Breeds. To be judged on trueness to type, conformation and way of going.<br />

<strong>Ridden</strong> Foreign Breeds. To be judged on trueness to type, conformation and way of going.<br />

<strong>Ring</strong> <strong>One</strong> Championship, the Champion to go into the Supreme Championship - to be held in <strong>Ring</strong> <strong>One</strong><br />

at the end of the show.<br />

For all classes above, excluding class 10, the first, second and third placed horses/ponies will qualify for<br />

the Champion of Britain Title classes to be held at the Royal London Show in 2010. Each qualified<br />

horse/pony will receive a qualification card in the ring which will enable the owner to enter the Royal<br />

London Show, provided the owner and rider/handler are, or become registered with the International<br />

<strong>Showing</strong> Society within 28 days of the qualifying show. No horse registration is required. For up to date<br />

Best Condition Championship. Winners of classes 21,22,37 and 38 will compete for Best<br />

Condition Champion.<br />

Supreme Championship. Champions from <strong>Ring</strong> <strong>One</strong>, Two, Three and Four and the winner of<br />

the Best Condition Championship will compete to be the Supreme Champion of the Show.

Best Condition. The winner of this class will qualify for the Best Condition Championship. The judge<br />

will be looking for the ideal weight and physical condition of the equine.<br />

Best Rescue. Entries to this class must be on loan from a registered charity.<br />

Best Companion Pony. Entries to this class must be an un-ridden horse/pony that is companion to another.<br />

Young Handler. This class is open to any child under 16. The judge will be looking for the handler’s ability<br />

and knowledge of the pony they are showing and their ability to show it to its best potential.<br />

My Best Friend. Open to any equine/child combination under 14.2hh and 16 years old. To be judged on<br />

manners, temperament and short ridden show, which may include special activities that demonstrate how<br />

Handy Pony. Tickets to be sold on the gate. Try your hand and hoof around the obstacle course! The<br />

winner is the combination that completes the course in the fastest time.<br />

Additional Information and Entry Form<br />

Entries Close 4 th May 2010. All classes can be entered on the day with a £1 levy per class, provided classes are not full.<br />

The Easton College canteen will be open throughout the day, serving a large range of snacks through to<br />

full main meals.<br />

Eastern Lights Photography will be attending the show. Memories of the day will be available to purchase<br />

at the show.<br />

The <strong>Redwings</strong> Horse Sanctuary display lorry will be in attendance providing information on the welfare<br />

work that is at the heart of the charity.<br />

Rules and Conditions of Show<br />

• The Judge’s decision is final.<br />

• Any complaints or appeals must be lodged with the secretary no more than 30 mins after the incident. The<br />

complaint must be lodged with the accompaniment of £20, if the complaint is upheld the money will be<br />

refunded. It is expected all competitors will enter into the spirit of the event for fun and recognition of the<br />

welfare of the horse.<br />

• Correct current BSI standard headgear must be worn to minimum approved standards at all times when<br />

mounted and chinstraps fastened.<br />

• The Organisers of the event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the Health and Safety of<br />

everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everybody must take care to avoid and prevent<br />

accidents occurring, and must obey the instructions of the Organisers and their Officials.<br />

• Save for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the Organisers of the event, neither <strong>Redwings</strong><br />

Horse Sanctuary, the owners of the venue, or any other agent, employee or representative of these bodies<br />

accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders spectators,<br />

vehicles and their contents or accessories, or any other person or property at all, whether caused by their<br />

negligence, breach of contract or in any way, whatsoever.<br />

• Entries made on the day will be £1 extra per class, with the exception of the handy pony. No refunds available<br />

on classes entered.<br />

• Please consider the welfare of the equines. Any person using excessive use of whip or spurs will be asked to<br />

retire from the show.<br />
