CFR - Romania<br />

<strong>Alstom</strong>-led consortium responsible for<br />

new railway l<strong>in</strong>e and modifications to<br />

the route for 41 km, as well as the<br />

construction of four station <strong>in</strong> Arad and<br />

Curtici. Includes the supply of<br />

electrification equipment for about 100<br />

km of railway, <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g a sub-station<br />

and overhead l<strong>in</strong>es. The project also<br />

<strong>in</strong>cludes an <strong>in</strong>terlock<strong>in</strong>g system for all<br />

Banedanmark - Denmark<br />

An important contract relat<strong>in</strong>g to the onboard<br />

ERTMS signall<strong>in</strong>g system.<br />

Banedanmark, the owner of Demark's<br />

railway <strong>in</strong>frastructure has awarded <strong>Alstom</strong><br />

for the design and test<strong>in</strong>g of Atlas, the<br />

signall<strong>in</strong>g solution based on the on-board<br />

level 2 European rail traffic management<br />

and control system ERTMS/ETCS. This<br />

solution satisfies the most recent ERTMS<br />

standard and can be applied to 789 tra<strong>in</strong>s<br />

(most not constructed by <strong>Alstom</strong>)<br />

managed by 41 operators on the Danish<br />

Fjerbane network.<br />
