These drives are equipped with a spindle end<br />
shut-off which can be set using two hexagon<br />
socket screws (SP drives) or the lever (T drives).<br />
Selecting the right drive<br />
Limit switches are being activated by turning of<br />
the crown adapter which is mounted in the steel<br />
shaft.<br />

Motor<br />
This drive is a single-phase AC capacitor motor.<br />
It requires a mains voltage of 230 V / 50 Hz.<br />
This drive has been designed <strong>for</strong> short duty<br />
cycles (about 4 – 5 min). A thermal circuit<br />
breaker prevents the motor from overheating.<br />
Power consumption is from 0.4 to 2.6 A, depending<br />
on the motor type.<br />
An electromagnetic soft-stop disk brake ensures<br />
that the motor stops gently at the exact position.<br />
When the motor is switched off or if the power<br />
supply fails, the motor achieves full<br />
braking <strong>for</strong>ce immediately.<br />
5. Power ratings of a SELVE driver<br />
Gearboxes<br />
The three-stage planetary gear reduces the<br />
motor speed from 2860 r.p.m. to around 12<br />
or 17 r.p.m. Gearboxes feature silent running<br />
<strong>and</strong> high efficiency. They are completely<br />
maintenance free.<br />
