Alpha CD50 Wall Hung 

Condensing Combination Boiler 

Introduction 

The Alpha CD50 wall-hung high efficiency storage combi 

matches a traditional system’s higher flow rate whilst also 

offering the benefit of hot water on demand whenever your 

customer wants it. Its compact ‘all-in-one’ design gives 

installers the best of both worlds. 

Application 

The mains fed Alpha CD50 does not need a storage tank 

in the roof, saving on pipework and loft space. Also, with 

no need for a separate cylinder for hot water, the CD50 

frees up space for living so the cylinder cupboard could, 

for example, provide room for a shower. Even in larger 

homes and smaller light commercial applications floor 

space is at a premium. That’s why the Alpha CD50 is 

designed to hang on the wall.

Introduction 

The Alpha CD50S and 70S are wall mounted SEDBUK 

Band 'A' rated condensing, fan assisted system boilers, 

providing heating only for sealed central heating systems, 

or open systems, if required. 

Application 

Specifically designed for larger output requirements, the 

CD50S is suitable for central heating loads of between 10 

and 53.8kW, and the CD70S for central heating loads of 

between 18.1 and 72.8kW.

Buderus 800 

Wall Mounted Condensing Boilers 

Introduction 

The heating technology in the wall hung Buderus 800 

Range has been tried and tested across Europe for many 

years. It is a particularly good solution for large domestic 

installations that have high demands for heat, and want to 

upgrade to a high output condensing boiler to achieve 

greater fuel efficiency. For the installer the boiler is 

particularly installation and service friendly with easy 

access to parts, and a detailed status display.

Ideal Concord CXA/H

Introduction 

Ideal's Concord range continues to lead the market with 

value for money gas atmospheric boilers for commercial or 

industrial applications. The Concord range incorporates 

outputs from 40kW to 120kW in a single boiler and up to

Application

Keston C Range 40 - 110kW 


Introduction 

The Keston C range of boilers provides a solution to many 

light commercial building applications. Keston has a 

reputation for manufacturing innovative and user friendly 

products. There are three models available with outputs 

ranging from 40 - 110kW. For higher output applications 

Keston offers a complete range of commercial heating 

products including made-to-order mutiple boiler solutions. 

Application 

For larger domestic or smaller commercial applications the 

C40 delivers a massive 40kW output with ultra small 

flueing to match. The C40 also offers 'dual thermostat' 

technology as standard, enabling the boiler to switch 

between two temperature settings, depending on the 

demand source. Ideal for underfloor and hot water 

applications. For low cost commercial heating the Keston 

C55 fully modulating 12-55kW boiler provides the perfect 

solution. The C110 is wall mounted and fully modulating 

from 28 -110kw. As with all Keston boilers, it has an 

extremely high efficiency performance of up to 98% (GCV).

Introduction 

The modular design of the Keston Prefabricated Rigs 

means almost any heating output can be achieved. The 

SEDBUK A rating of our complete range ensures peak 

operating efficiencies and minimum running costs. 

Application 

Factories, commercial and public buildings, ranging from 

schools, blocks of flats, offices, hotels, pubs and 

restaurants through to sports halls, department stores, 

hospitals and museums, are just some of the applications 

that have benefitted from installing Keston condensing 

boilers. 

The Keston Rigs are delivered to site pre-assembled and 

incorporate up to five units within a floor standing frame 

and up to 20 boilers operating in sequence across multiple 

frames. A dual boiler wall-hung rig is also available. The 

units are pre-piped to a single balance header to meet 

user requirements.

requirements including integrated DHW storage, system

sophisticated range of wall hung, stainless steel 

condensing boilers. Backed by a unique, fully 

comprehensive five year warranty, and with built in 

reliability you can sit back and relax after the installation. 

Application 

Potterton Commercial Sirius WH is available in five 

outputs, with nominal outputs of 50, 60, 70, 90, and 

110kW. These sizes make it the perfect choice for large 

domestic applications as well as for use in a range of light 

commercial premises e.g. small hotels, bars and 

restaurants etc. The boilers can also be arranged in 

modular format up to 880kW. This also enables the boiler 

to be suitable for use in general commercial applications

Potterton Commercial's Sirius FS is a technically 

sophisticated range of floor standing, stainless steel 

condensing boilers. Backed by a unique, fully

reliability you can sit back and relax after the installation. 

Application 

Potterton Commercial Sirius FS is available in six outputs, 

all with a width of 450mm, for single boiler applications 

with nominal outputs of 50, 70, 90, 105, 130 and 160kW.

Introduction 

Starting at 80kW, the range consists of six models and 

enables the closest load matching with modulation ranges 

as low as 17%. The ecoCRAFT range has a compact size 

for its class with an appliance width of 695mm. Its easy 

manoeuvrability offers flexible siting and a modular heat 

exchanger design with single low NOx modulating burner

Standing Atmospheric Gas Boiler 

Introduction 

Incorporating robust cast iron design, atmoCRAFT 

delivers a high performance with low pollutant NOx class 5 

burner. Starting at 65kW, the range enables flexible and 

close load matching right up to 165kW. Coming in a single 

package, the atmoCRAFT is delivered ready assembled. 

For enhanced efficiency, the boilers are compatible with 

Vaillant’s weather compensated controllers and system 

components to ensure you maximise your heating credits 

under the Building Regulations.

The atmoCRAFT range of commercial atmospheric boilers

Vaillant VRC 630 

Boiler Management Control 

Introduction 

The VRC 630 control provides weather-compensated flow 

temperature control for a heating system and has time 

programs for controlling heating and hot water system. 

Application 

This versatile control is able to control multiple boilers in 

cascade and multiple heating circuits using additional 

accessories. The VRC 630 control can also be easily used 

for single boiler applications bringing benefits of multiple 

heating zone control. 

The VRC 630 can control the following system 

circuits: 

A direct heating circuit 

Two mixed circuits, e.g. compensated heating 

An indirectly heated hot water cylinder (can be 

designated as a heating circuit) 

A hot water secondary re-circulation pump 

The system can be extended by adding up to six further 

extension circuit modules (accessory VR 60) each VR 60 

allows two further circuits which can either be central 

heating or hot water. A maximum of 15 heating circuits 

can be controlled in total (1 X VRC 630 – 3 circuits and 6 X 

VR 60 – 2 circuits each). The extension circuits are 

programmed at the central VRC 630 control. For more 

convenience the heating circuits can be controlled locally 

using separate room/zone controls (VR 80 or VR 90) for 

each extension circuit. These room/zone controls can be 

connected to the first eight heating circuits. 

Up to eight Vaillant ecoTEC, ecoCRAFT or atmoCRAFT 

boilers can be connected to the VRC 630 using a bus 

coupler (accessory VR32 for ecoTEC/ecoCRAFT and 

VR30/2 for atmoCRAFT).

Introduction 

Amptec electric flow boilers provide a wet central heating 

system and can provide heat to supply underfloor heating 

and radiator systems in remote areas where gas and oil 

services are not installed. 

Application 

Amptec electric boilers can be used on wet heating 

systems to provide heating and hot water utilising radiator 

or underfloor heating systems.

Heatrae Sadia's Electromax boiler provides electric wet

Introduction 

Powrmatic NV units can be supplied for either free blowing 

or ducted applications. The NV model is the standard unit 

for most installations but NV room sealed units are also 

recommended where there is a contaminated atmosphere 

and combustion air is required from outside with a sealed 

system kit.

Both NV units can be used in light commercial or 

commercial installations to heat buildings such as

PTS offer a wide range of solar thermal products for 

domestic and light commercial installations. Solar thermal 

systems maximise the sun's energy by using high 

performance solar collection panels, typically sited on a 

roof, which absorb the energy and via a pump set transfer 

the energy to an indirect thermal store cylinder. The water 

in the cylinder can then be used for a variety of domestic 

hot water uses such as showers, washing, hand basins to 

name a few. 

Application 

By using a solar thermal system in conjunction with a 

typical boiler installation. The home owner or property 

owner can enjoy energy savings. The degree of saving 

depends upon the installation and if it is sited with south 

facing panels. 

Solar thermal systems can be used in domestic and 

commercial installations such as schools, hospitals, office 

blocks and hotels to assist in the reduction of energy 

costs.

Introduction 

Biomass is produced from organic materials, either directly 

from plants or indirectly from domestic, industrial, 

commercial or agricultural products. It is often called 

'bioenergy' or 'biofuels', It doesn't include fossil fuels, 

which have taken millions of years to be created. 

Woody biomass includes forest products, untreated 

wood products, energy crops and short rotation 

coppice (SRC), such as quick-growing willow trees 

Non-woody biomass includes animal waste, industrial 

and biodegradable municipal products from food 

processing and high energy crops. Examples are 

rape, sugar cane and maize 

For small-scale domestic applications of biomass the fuel 

usually takes the form of wood pellets, wood chips or 

wood logs. 

Application 

There are two main ways of using biomass to heat a 

domestic or light commercial property 

Stand alone stoves for domestic space heating for a 

single room these can be fuelled by logs or pellets 

but only pellets are suitable for automatic feed. They 

are generally 5-7kW in output, and some models can 

be fitted with a back boiler to provide water heating 

Boilers connected to central heating and hot water 

systems. These are suitable for pellets, logs or chips, 

and are generally larger than 15kW 

Log boilers must be loaded by hand and may be 

unsuitable for some situations. Automatic pellet and wood 

chip systems can be more expensive. Many boilers will 

dual fire both wood chips and pellets, although the wood 

chip boilers need larger hoppers to provide the same time 

interval between refuelling.

Introduction 

PTS can supply a variety of heat pumps to suit many light 

commercial applications. These are available in ground 

source, air to water and air to air units. In the same way 

that your fridge uses refrigerant to extract heat from the 

inside, keeping your food cool, a ground source heat 

pump extracts heat from the ground or air and uses it to 

heat your home. A ground source pump has three main 

parts: 

The evaporator absorbs the heat using liquid in the 

ground loops or from the air using a heat exchanger 

coil 

The compressor moves the refrigerant round the heat 

pump and compresses the gaseous refrigerant to the 

temperature needed for the heat distribution circuit 

The condenser gives up heat to a hot water tank 

which feeds the distribution system 

Commercial applications 

Air to air and air to water heat pumps are frequently used 

in office and retail spaces, often installed in ceiling voids or 

alcoves and offer substantially favourable cost comparisons 

against conventional boiler systems when measured 

against installation and running costs. 

Heat pumps are used in many industries to recover heat or 

as an integral part of the process. Swimming pools can use 

heat pumps as the primary source of heat for the water in 

the pool, showers or to augment an existing fossil fuel 

system.

Heat pump technology can be used in applications as 

diverse as space heating or cooling for human comfort in 

offices, homes and all kinds of residential installations. 

They can also be found in commercial applications. 

Domestic applications 

Many homes now benefit from a variety of installations, 

including ground source and air source heat pumps. Air to 

water or ground to water systems provide hot water that 

can be circulated through fan coil units, radiators or, 

preferably, underfloor heating pipes to provide space 

heating. Domestic hot water temperatures up to 55°C is 

also supplied - some heat pumps can provide 65°C.

Introduction 

Rainwater harvesting is not a new concept. It is only 

recently that the benefits have been recognised now that 

mains water supplied from the tap has become a much 

more precious and expensive commodity. 

The system works by taking the rain from your roof 

gutters, filtering out leaves and debris and storing the 

water in an above ground or underground tank. 

The water can then be decanted for distribution into the 

garden or pumped into the house to be used for nonpotable 

applications such as toilet flushing and washing 

machines. On the pumped systems, for use in domestic or 

commercial premises, if the tank runs empty the system 

simply switches to mains supply. 

Application 

Rainwater harvesting can be used in single house, 

agricultural, commercial and industrial applications such as 

farms, hotels, sports facilities, washdown, irrigation and 

toilet flushing. In fact anywhere that requires plenty of nonpotable 

water. It is important to note that rainwater is not 

suitable for human consumption and needs to be installed 

with a separate distribution pipework system to service 

toilets, washing machines, irrigation and washdown 

facilities.

The rainwater harvesting butts for garden use range 

from 100 litres up to 900 litres. These are simply above 

ground water butts that are connected to a gutter 

downpipe and collect rainwater for use in the garden 

The automatic system can be used with a variety of 

tank volumes from 1,300 to in excess of 10,000 litres. 

These are typically underground, automated pieces of 

equipment that filter and treat via UV the stored water 

and pump the water into domestic or commercial 

premises for use in non potable applications
