Rev. Sameh Maurice on “Creative Outreach Ministries”<br />
Rev. Maurice is the senior pastor of Kasr El Dobara Evangelical Church in<br />
Cairo, Egypt, which is the largest Evangelical church in the Middle East<br />
where nearly 7,000 people regularly attend services. The ministry conducts<br />
transformational outreach to the surrounding community and in<br />
the region. Pastor Sameh is the international deputy director of the<br />
Lausanne Committee for World Evangelism for the Middle East and<br />
North Africa. This visionary leader has spearheaded ministry outreach<br />
that addresses major social issues including the media, sports, health care, drug rehabilitation,<br />
peace and reconciliation, college and young professional ministries, missionary<br />
work, and church planting.<br />
Dr. Mark Brewer on “Influencing Culture”<br />
Dr. Brewer is a third generation Presbyterian minister. Dr. Brewer received<br />
his undergraduate degree in the Social Sciences from Colorado<br />
State University and a doctoral degree from Fuller Theological Seminary<br />
in 1994. He was the organizing pastor of Cherry Creek Presbyterian<br />
Church in Colorado, which grew to over five thousand members in his<br />
twelve-year tenure. Dr. Brewer is the author of A Walk into the City,<br />
which addresses the issues of cross racial and cross-economic relationships.<br />
In 2001, Dr. Brewer became the fourth senior pastor of 5,000-member Bel Air<br />
Presbyterian Church in Los Angeles, with a strategic location and impact on the entertainment<br />
industry.<br />
Rev. Edmund Chan on “Selecting and Developing Leaders”<br />
Rev. Chan is the senior pastor of 4,000-member Covenant Evangelical<br />
Free Church in Singapore. Expository preaching and leadership development<br />
have been his twin passions for over two decades. He has coordinated<br />
the annual Pastors’ Prayer Summit in Singapore since its inception<br />
in 1996. A member of several advisory councils for Christian organizations,<br />
he is also the author of Built to Last: Towards a Disciplemaking<br />
Church and Growing Deep in God: Integrating Theology and Prayer.<br />
Rev. Daniel Ho on “Prayer”<br />
Dr. Ho is founder and senior pastor of Damansara Utama Methodist<br />
Church (DUMC) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, currently located in a five-acre<br />
facility called the Dream Center. His church has an English weekend worship<br />
service where attendance has reached approximately 2,600. Worship<br />
services in Chinese, Malay, and Nepalese have also begun, and now count<br />
on many hundreds. Fifteen pastors assist in 21 transformational and holistic<br />
ministries throughout Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia as a whole. Myanmar,<br />
Nepal, China, and Thailand have also benefited from DUMC’s outreach ministry. The<br />
church has extensive support of missions and ministries in Malaysia and in all continents<br />
of the world.<br />
