Here are some handy tips to keep in mind when looking for employment.<br />
Networking<br />
• Tell everyoneyou know that you are looking for work -<br />
friends, relatives, neighbours, former co-workers and<br />
employers, etc.. These people may know <strong>of</strong> job leads.<br />
• Visit job fairs. Go dressed for an interview and bring copies <strong>of</strong><br />
your résumé.<br />
• Register with personnel agencies.<br />

• Use all available resources. The <strong>County</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Wellington</strong> has a<br />
resource centre which has free services including books on job<br />
hunting, fax and Internet use, newspapers and job postings.<br />
• Look beyond newspapers. Try community bulletin boards at<br />
your children’s school, the local community college, or your<br />
place <strong>of</strong> worship.<br />
• Go online. Many job opportunities are listed on the Internet.<br />
