The administrative activities of the Supreme Court are completed
by dedicated employees working in offices, sections, programs
and work groups that are formed into eight divisions — the
Administrative Division, the Clerk’s Division, the Legal Resources
Division, the Fiscal & Management Resources Division, the
Information Technology Division, the Facilities Management
Division, the Attorney Services Division and the Judicial & Court
Services Division. The Court also has four affiliated offices that
maintain a quasi-independent status because of the nature of their
work. They are the Office of Disciplinary Counsel, the Board of
Commissioners on Grievances & Discipline, the Clients’ Security
Fund and the Ohio Criminal Sentencing Commission.
The Court is fortunate to be able to rely on the volunteer
services of dozens of committed judges, attorneys, clerks, court
administrators and private citizens who serve on the many boards,
commissions, advisory committees and task forces that the Court
maintains. These bodies help the Court provide oversight to
the courts of Ohio, regulate the practice of law, and provide
efficient services to the judicial branch of Ohio government. For a

The table of organization displayed on the preceding page
provides a visual representation of the Court’s structure in 2006.
This structure has evolved significantly during the previous eight
years.
