Meet the Artists
Harlem Residency Program. Garland
has choreographed for The New York
City Ballet and The Royal Ballet, among
many others. His work has been featured
in commercials, music videos and
television shows and at events including
the Vail International Dance Festival.
Tina McCartney (Costume Designer) was
Associate Costume Designer to Elizabeth
Clancy on Sally Silvers’ Bonobo
Milkshake after interning on Broadway’s
A Christmas Story. Other credits include
Associate Costume Designer to ESOSA
on Ruined and Assistant to Martin
Pakledinaz on Oklahoma! at Arena
Stage. She most recently worked as the
Associate Costume Designer for the
2013 debut of Apollo Club Harlem at
the Apollo Theater.
on faculty at Purchase College, Sate
University of New York, she has
consulted and worked with nonprofit
organizations across the United States
including Lincoln Center, Central City
Opera, Evidence, A Dance Company,
Palm Beach Community College and
California State University, Monterey
Bay, where she launched a performing
arts series.

Burke Wilmore (Light Designer) was
resident designer for Battleworks
(2001–2010) and lit Robert Battle’s
Juba, In/Side, Takademe, Alvin Ailey
American Dance Theater’s The Hunt,
Stephen Petronio’s Tragic Love for Ballet
de Lorraine, and Camille A. Brown’s
City of Rain and Good & Grown.
Currently, he is resident designer for
Keigwin + Company and Associate
Producer for FOCUS Dance and Gotham
Dance Festival.
Dawn Gibson-Brehon (Project Manager) is
a graduate of the Hartt School of Music
and earned her M.A. at the University
of Wisconsin-Madison. Currently
