Supply Chain Innovation — Engine for Growth
Welcome to Aberdeen’s 2013 Supply Chain Management Summit. We are excited
to feature a powerful lineup of supply chain executives from some of the world’s
most preeminent organizations. Over the next two days, we are confident that you
will gain new insights into what industry leaders are doing with process, technology, and
human capital to build an interconnected, resilient and intelligent supply chain; one
that embraces growth opportunities, manages risk and leverages innovation to create
competitive advantage.
Aberdeen’s goal is to ensure that you leave the Summit empowered around the role of
the Chief Supply Chain Officer. Addressing global growth and complexity will require
“collaborative optimization” of both cost and service. We hope that you will enjoy networking
with your peers and other recognized supply chain leaders as we share new innovations and
key transformational initiatives being adopted to fuel growth.
We would like to thank our valued sponsors and partners for their involvement with the Summit
and for continuing to enhance visibility and insight into the supply chain transformation arena.
We trust that the Summit will serve you well and that you will receive the actionable
recommendations you need to take back to your organization. Thank you for being an
integral part of this event. We look forward to speaking with you over the next two days.
3 WAYS LOGISTICS CAN
SHRINK THE WORLD.
UPS can help you benefit from the fact that 95% of today’s consumers live
outside the U.S. Access to them, as well as suppliers, depends on logistics. UPS
is your best choice for taking advantage of new opportunities around the globe.
1) REACH GLOBAL MARKETS
With one of the world’s largest air
fleets, UPS delivers to more than
220 countries and territories. So your
suppliers can reach you and you can
reach your customers.
2) MAKE YOUR SUPPLY CHAIN
VISIBLE UPS technology lets you see
what’s coming and going—package
as well as freight—so your company
can quickly adjust to changing
customer demands. You can even
have status updates sent to your
mobile devices.
3) REDUCE YOUR CUSTOMS DELAYS
UPS is one of the largest customs
brokers in the world. We have the
experience, and just as important,
we have the technology to help you
breeze through customs. With our
paperless solutions, we can show
you ways to reduce typical customs
delays by up to 56%.
Logistics has opened up new
opportunities internationally. UPS can
help your company seize them, even
if you are just getting started.
3 WAYS LOGISTICS CAN KEEP HIGH-TECH
CUSTOMERS COMING BACK.
When UPS surveyed leaders in high-tech companies, we learned that a key
challenge is maintaining the bottom line while improving the customer
experience. This balancing act is not impossible. It just takes logistics, by UPS.
1) MOVE FASTER From international
air freight to next-day air shipments,
UPS can move critical parts or
finished components quickly
and reliably. And technology like
UPS Paperless ® Invoice can help
reduce customs delays by up to
56%—enabling you to meet service
agreements and satisfy customers.
2) RESPOND QUICKER With UPS
technology like Quantum View ® ,
you can see your supply chain and
adjust to changing customer demands.
With status updates for both package
and freight shipments—incoming
and outgoing—your supply chain is
more visible, and, consequently your
business is more responsive.
3) SIMPLIFY RETURNS When
customers need to return, repair
or replace a product, UPS has one
of the largest portfolios of reverse
logistics solutions to help streamline
the process. And with millions of
UPS access points worldwide, your
customers can easily return their
purchases to you.
