Following paper-piecing instructions, begin by sewing pieces #1 and #2 to the wrong side of the foundation<br />
pattern below. Trim and press open.<br />
Add piece #3, trim and press open. Continue adding pieces in numerical order to complete a quarter square.<br />
Trim the square on the outside dashed line to measure 6-1/2”. (Make 4 quarter squares.)<br />
Lay out the (4) quarter squares in (2) rows of (2) squares each, noting the orientation of each square. Sew<br />
the squares together in each row. Join the rows to make an Indian Summer block.<br />
