Der Nockenschalter:
Nockenschalter sind handbetätigte Schaltgeräte, die
in erster Linie als Motorschalter, Lastschalter, Trenner,
Stufenschalter und Hilfsschalter (Steuerschalter) in
Haupt- und Hilfsstromkreisen der Niederspannungstechnik
Verwendung finden.
Die klassischen Nockenschalter sind nach einem
Baukastenprinzip zusammengesetzt. Kontaktkammern,
auch Schaltelemente oder Schaltfluchten genannt,
werden nach den Erfordernissen eines Kontaktplans
aneinandergereiht.
Nockenräder, die auf einer gemeinsamen, das
Schalterpaket durchdringenden Achse sitzen,
steuern die beweglichen Schaltbrücken in den
Kontaktkammern. Die gewünschte Position dieser
Schaltbrücken wird durch die Rastung sichergestellt.
Diese ist in der Rastenkammer untergebracht und
den Kontaktkammern vorgebaut.
Der sog. Schaltwinkel eines Nockenschalters wird
durch die Rastung bestimmt und beträgt in der
Regel 30, 45, 60 oder 90°.

Cam switch:
Cam switches are hand-operated switch devices
which find primarily use as motor switch, load switch,
disconnect switch, step switch and auxiliary switch
(control switch) in main and auxiliary circuits of the
low voltage engineering.
The classical cam switches are made on
a modular design principle. Contact chambers,
also called logic elements or stages, are lined
up by the requirements of a contact plan.
Cam wheels which take place on a common, the
switch penetrating shaft, control the movable contact
bridges in the contact chambers. The desired position
of these contact bridges is guaranteed by the detent,
which is placed in the detent chamber and is built on
against the contact chambers.
The so-called switching angle of a cam switch is
determined by the detent and amounts normally
to 30, 45, 60 or 90 °.
