This annual award honors BVSD’s elementary and secondary Kansas<br />
Teacher of the Year nominees with a $2,500 award to be spent on a<br />
project or program in the recipient’s school. This award was established as<br />
a tribute to Dr. David Benson who served as superintendent of <strong>Blue</strong> <strong>Valley</strong><br />
Schools from 1994 to 2004.<br />
