Tech Session at Rim & Wheel Works

Saturday, September 21st from 10AM until 2PM
The Boston Chapter is happy to announce a Tech Session to be held at Rim & Wheel Works on Saturday,
September 21st at their facilities at 50 Sun Street, Waltham MA from 10 AM to 2 PM. This is a relatively
new facility and the staff is excited to open it u for this special program. The morning session beginning at
10:15AM will include a discussion of tire pressure monitoring systems and the new law about the systems.
It will also include a demonstration of both automotive and motorcycle wheel straightening and explain
the importance of using heat to restore the temper of any wheels being straightened.
Following a noon pizza lunch courtesy of the Chapter, the afternoon session will include a 12:15 PM
discussion regarding wheel cosmetics followed by a second demonstration of wheel straightening at 1:00
PM. Everyone attending the event will receive a coupon for a free listing on www.aftermarketwheels.com
as well as a chance to win some great door prizes.

Bimmers Across the Border X: Driving School and

Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant was built in 1964 in the shadow
of the majestic Mont-Tremblant. The picturesque and
twisty 15-corner 2. 65-mile track, (home of Formula 1 and
CANAM racing in the 60s and 70s), was completely rebuilt
and upgraded in 2001. Situated in one of the most gorgeous
settings in the world, the layout is a classic. It combines the
natural topography of the site with elevation changes from
the start/ finish line to corner 8 and back. The track is bordered
by Lake Moore and Devil River (La Diable).
This year’s event will be held Friday through Sunday,
August 8th, 9th and 10th. On Saturday night the Chapters’
will host a banquet buffet at the top of the mountain offering
spectacular views of the valley and the track in the
distance. Following dinner, guests are invited to take part
in the “Star Gazers” event also held at the top of the mountain.
As added excitement everyone is invited to watch over
50 BMW CCA Club Racers compete in the Northeast Region
Premier Race. There will be one race each day and all
spectators are welcome. Come and cheer for your favorite
driver from one of many great locations around the track.

Registration & novice discounts
If you’ve ever thought about participating in a track event,
this great time to start. First time ever drivers qualify for
a special $100 discount. Please use the Online Registration
system to register for this event, but remember:
• ALL students may register for Saturday and Sunday,
• But the Friday school is reserved for racers, instructors
and advanced students who meet advanced driving
skills requirements.
Registration is open through Sunday, August 3rd or until
all slots are filled. The event is open to BMW CCA members
and non-members for the same price, as follows:
• US$495. 00 (US$395 for first timers) for the 2-Day
Primary Drivers School Program which is open to everyone
with driving on Saturday and Sunday.
• US$695 for the 3-day Advanced Student Driving
School Program that includes over 5 hours of additional
driving time on Friday. Remember, advanced
students must meet certain guidelines to be accepted
for the Friday program – please check details at www.
boston-bmwcca.org.
