RELATED ITEMS 

Sealed tender are invited for the obsolete/ used computer H/W items 

(Computers, Terminals, Laser Printers etc.) on “As is where is” basis. 

The items are located at, Director, National Book Trust, India, Nehru 

Bhawan, 5, Institutional Area, Phase-II, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi – 110070. Interested 

bidders are requested to inspect the above items at National Book Trust, India, Nehru 

Bhawan, 5, Institutional Area, Phase-II, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi – 110070. Details for

An EMD of Rs.2000/- (Rupees Two Thousand Only) should be deposited along 

with the tender in the form of an account payee bank draft/ pay order of a nationalized 

bank favoring Director, NBT, INDIA and payable at New Delhi.

Sealed tender for the Disposal of Obsolete Computer, Printers 

and related items. 

General Terms & Condition 

1. The bidders may inspect the items on a predetermined date and satisfy 

themselves about the items they are bidding for. 

2. The vendor is supposed to be registered with the Govt. Agency as per E- 

Waste Management and Handling Rules 2011 published by the Ministry of 

Environment and Forest, Govt. of India Notification dated 12.5.2011. 

3. The items shall be sold to the highest bidder. List of items are given at 

Annexure B. 

4. The Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of the successful bidder shall be 

adjusted in the bid out forth. The EMD of the unsuccessful bidders shall be 

returned within one month of the auction date, without any interest. 

5. No items once disposed to the successful bidder, shall be taken back by 

NBT in any conditions whatsoever. 

6. The successful bidder has to make full balance payment in the form the 

Demand Draft in favour of DIRECTOR, NBT, INDIA within 5 days after 

conformation, failing which the offer will be cancelled and EMD shall stand 

forfeited. 

7. The successful bidder shall be required to lift all the items from the 

disposal site to his premises within 05 days after the payment of the 

balance amount. On failure to do so NBT, shall have the right to forfeit the 

entire amount of the bidder and dispose the items to alternate bidder. 

8. Director, National Book Trust, India reserves the right to accept or reject 

any or all bids without assigning any reason whatsoever. All disputes will be 

subject to the jurisdiction of New Delhi courts only. 

Terms & Condition for Tender Quoted: 

1. Quotation letter in sealed envelope should be addressed to Director, 

National Book Trust, India, Nehru Bhawan, 5, Institutional Area, Phase-II, 

Vasant Kunj, New Delhi – 110070 latest by 14/08/2012 by 2.00 p.m. 

superscribed by “Quotation for Obsolete Computers, Printers & related 

items” in bold letters.

2. The quotation must reach the undersigned on or before the due date otherwise 

it is liable to be rejected. Tender received after due date and stipulated date 

and time due to any reason whatsoever including postal delays shall not be 

considered. 

3. The financial bid should be quoted both in figures and words. Any overwriting 

or crossing in the figure shall not be considered for acceptance of the rates 

offered by the tenderer. 

4. NBT reserves the right to accept or reject any/ all quotation without assigning 

any reason whatsoever. 

5. Each page of the tender document should be signed by the bidder(s). 

6. Incomplete and unsigned quotations are liable to be rejected. 

7. An Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of Rs.2000/-(Rupees Two Thousand 

Only) must accompany each quotation. This shall be in the form of an account 

payee Demand Draft of any nationalized bank drawn in the name of Director, 

NBT, INDIA payable at New Delhi without which the tender shall be summarily 

rejected. No Cheque/ money order/ cash shall be accepted. 

8. The EMD deposit shall not attract any interest. 

9. For financial evaluation, highest bidder shall be chosen based on the figures 

quoted in Annexure ‘A’.
