By <strong>the</strong> fourth week <strong>of</strong> October <strong>Meher</strong> <strong>Baba</strong> had reached<br />
Lahore via Kapurthala. Upon His return He dictated a special<br />
circular on October 25, 1943. In this He intimated to His<br />
followers that <strong>the</strong> trip to Iran would be in March 1944, and <strong>the</strong><br />
one-month meeting <strong>of</strong> His followers which was to be held in<br />
January would instead be from May 15 through June 15, 1944.<br />
By <strong>the</strong> end <strong>of</strong> November, <strong>Baba</strong> had returned to <strong>Meher</strong>abad and<br />
stayed <strong>the</strong>re until <strong>the</strong> end <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> year. Thus, with a memorable<br />
meeting in May 1943 at <strong>Meher</strong>abad and a host <strong>of</strong> striking mast<br />
contacts, mainly in <strong>the</strong> Punjab and Kashmir, <strong>the</strong> year 1943 came<br />
to a close.<br />
As for me, I had to wait for about a year for <strong>the</strong> blessed<br />
moment <strong>of</strong> my personal contact with <strong>Meher</strong> <strong>Baba</strong>. In that<br />
waiting <strong>the</strong>re was a delightful inner ache and exhilarating<br />
impatience, too!
