Kathy Dalsing-Kong (B, LS) received a master’s degree in
business administration from UW-Whitewater in May.
Shawn Piotter (LS) accepted a position with Protein Design
Labs in Brooklyn Park, Minn. The pharmaceutical manufacturing
operation is in the start-up phase.
John Wollner, MBA ’95, director of corporate
relations for Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, has
returned to Thrivent Financial’s Appleton office
following three years leading the organization’s community
programs from Minneapolis.
Jamie (Wasserman) Zehren (EHS) moved to Janesville
with her husband. She is program manager of a group home for
Lutheran Social Services.
96 Bradley Heutmaker (LS) recently returned to Arizona
from Washington, D.C., where he spent four years with the
University of Phoenix. He is now an insurance agent for Farmers
Insurance in Tempe, Ariz.
Joseph Linder (B) opened CNC Consulting, LLC, a software
solutions business in Fond du Lac.
Sunny Nicholson (LS) is a sales executive for KFXO FOX 39
TV broadcast in Bend, Ore. She is married to David Allen and has
a four-year-old son, Cody.
96 Gina Rodriguez (B) is in graduate school at the University
of Maryland for a dual online master’s degree in accounting
and information technology, and accounting and financial management.
She is the president and owner of Accounting & Tax
Consulting, LLC, Oshkosh.
97 Sara Allsage (EHS) teaches in a developmental preschool
program in Peoria, Ariz.
Cindy (Gabert) Borgen (B), ’99 MBA, is the senior credit
officer at First National Bank–Fox Valley. She lives with her
husband in Omro.
Michael Buck (LS) has established the Jackson area’s first eye
care clinic, the Jackson Vision Center. He earned a doctor of optometry
degree from the Michigan College of Optometry in 2002.
Amy (Algiers) Ciepluch (LS) works for the national law firm
Quarles & Brady LLP as an associate in the employee benefits
group. She lives in Milwaukee.
Pamela (Hodkiewicz) Pillar (LS) works at JanSport Inc., as
a production artist. She previously worked for the Department of
Natural Resources as a hydrogeologist. Her husband, Kristoffer
Pillar (LS), ’94, works at Charter Communication in Fond du
Lac, as a broadband customer care supervisor.
John Rathman, MPA, is deputy director for the Outagamie
County Department of Health and Human Services in Appleton.
He leads a staff of more than 300 individuals. He also serves
on state and county advisory committees of the Department of
Workforce Development, the Department of Health and Family
Services and the Department of Administration.
Troy Schoultz (LS) held one of four lead roles in the UW-
Marshfield/Wood County Campus production of Terrence
McNally’s Lips Together, Teeth Apart in August.
Rene (Homa) Smits (LS) is a Lia Sophia independent jewelry
adviser. She lives in Kaukauna with her husband Todd Smits (B),
’95, and their two sons.
Thomas Swigert (LS) was promoted to Web team manager at
CBS 5 WFRV-TV in Green Bay. He previously was operations
manager. He resides in Appleton with his wife, Greta Swigert, ‘97
(LS), and their three children.
98 Michelle Borgwardt (LS) is news editor for Verde Valley
Newspapers in Cottonwood, Ariz. She was awarded first place for
excellence in writing in the nondaily division of her company’s
editorial contest in 2002-2003.
Cassandre (Bezold) Hetzer (LS) recently purchased Mayville
Vision Center, Mayville. She is a doctor of optometry.
Dennis Ruedinger (EHS), boys basketball coach at Oshkosh
Lourdes, led his team to the 2005 WIAA state tournament in
Madison. His team placed second in the Division IV state championship
game. Ruedinger was all-American in his senior season
as a basketball player at UW Oshkosh. He and his wife, Kellie
(Helms) Ruedinger (EHS), ’98 and MS ’05, live in Oshkosh with
their son, Preston.
99 Melissa (Meyers) Campbell (LS) married
Garrett Campbell on July 9. He is from Placentia,
Calif., and is an assistant football coach at Carthage
College in Kenosha, where Melissa also works as a
graphic designer.
Gayle Lenz (EHS) teaches English as a second language and
Spanish for the Watertown Unified School District, after teaching
at a bilingual school in Mexico for the past two years.
Elizabeth O’Donnell, MSE, is completing a doctorate in
urban education with an emphasis in counseling at Cleveland
State University. She has a successful psychotherapy practice, RPT
Foundation Inc., in Westlake, Ohio. She specializes in infertility
with an interest in integrating complementary and traditional
forms of mind/body medicine. She also is a physical therapist and
registered yoga teacher.
Kelly Warnke (LS), ’03 MSE, left UW Oshkosh to become
assistant women’s basketball and head women’s golf coach at
Baldwin Wallace College, Berea, Ohio.
Shelley (Garbisch) Warwick (LS) and her husband, Michael,
welcomed the arrival of their first child, Lillian Meghan, on
Dec. 24, 2004.
00 Nicole (Johnson) Bricker (LS) and her husband,
Aaron, welcomed the arrival of a son, Keiran Wright, on Jan. 20,
2005, in Chandler, Ariz.
Suzanne Hoehne (LS) is an environmental scientist with the
Louisville, Ky. office of Biohabitats Inc., an ecological restoration
consulting firm.
Gretchen Koch, MSE, is a member of the ad hoc faculty at
UW Oshkosh in the counselor education department. She began
a doctorate of education program at Northern Illinois University
in June.
Amy (Blank) Williams (B) married Nicholas Williams (B),
’99, in November 2004, in the U.S. Virgin Islands. She joined
Edward Jones after five years in the financial services industry.
01 Amy (Glasheen) Behrendt (LS) works at Wisconsin
Bakers Association of Milwaukee as a journalism and communications
specialist. She married Jerry Behrendt on April 24, 2004.
Chandra Lynn Millay (LS) joined News/Talk 1310 WIBA in
February 2004, where she helps produce Madison in the Morning
and covers morning news for sister stations 101.5 WIBA-FM and
96.3 WMAD and mid-morning news on WIBA. She also helps in
the promotions department for 1310 and ESPN 1070.
Lewis Pagel (LS) graduated from Northwestern College of
Chiropractic in November 2004. He opened a chiropractic clinic,
Pagel Chiropractic Healthcare in Owatonna, Minn.
Laura Jean (Eberle) Wilson (N), and her husband, Kyle,
welcomed a daughter, Emma, in June. Their son, Karson, was
born in September 2002. Kyle works at GE Healthcare in Milwaukee
in import compliance. The family lives in Waukesha.
02 Sara Barta (LS) will marry Christopher
Bartolone on Feb. 11, 2006. An assistant manager
for Sanofi Aventis Pharmacutical Companies
fitness center, she manages incentive programs
that keep employees motivated to exercise. She is
working to earn teaching certification in physical
education and health from West Chester University
of Pennsylvania.
Kelly (Hauschildt) Butzen (LS) and her husband, Carl
Butzen IV, ’99 (LS), welcomed daughter Sarah on July 5. They
live in Oshkosh.
Laura Charette (B) is a corporate recruiter in the human
resources office at Wisconsin Public Service Corporation in Green
Bay. She previously worked at Northwestern Mutual as an office
manager.
Donald G. Ellingson, MBA ’02, is credit manager at Alliance
Laundry Systems. He and his wife, Kim, relocated from Marinette
to the Oshkosh area.
Alisa Garbisch (EHS) is a residence hall director at UW-
Stevens Point. She earned a master’s degree in college student
personnel adminstration in May 2004.
Derek Keyeski (LS) is producer and videographer for Builder’s
Showcase in Madison and Milwaukee, and Westridge Lifestyles in
Milwaukee.
Jon Krawczyk (B) was promoted to a sales position in employee
benefits at Security Insurance Services Inc. in New Berlin.
Rosette (Buening) Morrey (N) and her husband, Jim, had
their first child, Kylie Rose, on Feb. 24.
Jenessa Oberstadt (EHS) and her husband, Scott, welcomed
their first child, Ian Scott, in December 2004. She is an elementary
teacher in the New London School District.
Katy Olson (N) practices in internal medicine at Froedtert
Hospital of Milwaukee and is a staff registered nurse educator for
internal medicine and palliative care. She earned her credentials as
certified medical surgical registered nurse in March.
Courtney Perlino (LS) received a master’s degree in public
policy from George Washington University and was promoted to
health policy analyst at the American Public Health Association in
Washington, D.C.
03 Omar Humadi (LS) graduated from Virginia Commonwealth
University with a master’s degree in public administration.
He attends law school at Suffolk University School of Law
in Boston. He assisted his father, who is the Secretary General of
Iraq, with his work in the new government, including helping him
with presentations.
Melissa (Zimmerman) Jorsch (LS) is the district sales manager
for the Chippewa Herald in Chippewa Falls. Her husband,
Andrew Jorsch (LS), ’03, is a classified advertising and marketing
manager for the Chippewa Herald.
Justin Miller (LS) graduated from the University of Iowa in
December 2004 with a master’s degree in computer science and
began working at U.S. Bank in Oshkosh.
Jenny (Schuster) Shattuck (EHS) is a second-grade teacher
in the Fontana Joint 8 School District, Fontana. She was married
last summer in Green Lake.
04 Daniel Bush (LS) is the member services director for the
Wisconsin Assisted Living Association, a nonprofit statewide trade
association for assisted living providers and partners. He is engaged
to Rebecca McCulley (LS), ’05, who has an administrative position
with ElderSpan Management of Madison.
Kimberly Dicke (LS) completed her first year at a broadcast
television studio in Milwaukee, WB18 and UPN24.
Erin De Leon (B) is engaged to Greg Cherney and plans to
marry on June 2, 2007.
Timothy Goeckerman (B) is a finance and insurance manager
at Bergstrom in Oshkosh. He lives in Fond du Lac with his
wife, Melanie, and daughter, Zoey.
Angela Goetsch (B) was promoted to accounting supervisor at
Sheboygan Paper Box Co.
Katelyn Gumm (EHS) is a special education teacher in the
Green Bay Public School District.
Andrea Plueddeman (B) is a corporate sales manager at the
Heidel House Resort in Green Lake.
Bethany Schneider (EHS) is an autism and learning disabilities
teacher at Appleton East High School.
05 Beth Ann Freund (N) is a graduate nurse in the surgical/pediatrics
unit of Agnesian Health Care, Fond du Lac. She will
marry Dennis M. Koenings on July 29, 2006.
Brenda McBain (LS) joined Rehab Plus, Manitowoc, as a
performance enhancement specialist in February. She also is an exercise
physiologist in a cardiac and pulmonary unit at St. Nicholas
Hospital, Sheboygan.
Chad G. Selenske, MBA, is a physician liaison with the
Marshfield Clinic’s Eastern Division headquartered in Wausau.
Beth Thompson (EHS) is a hall coordinator at the University
of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls.

The second annual Alumni Weekend at the
Wilderness Resort in the Wisconsin Dells will be
