Midwifery encompasses the care of women during pregnancy, labour and the postpartum period which includes the care of the newborn<br />

baby. In addition, midwives also work towards preventing health problems during pregnancy, detecting abnormal conditions and the<br />

execution of emergency measures when necessary. All of these issues and more will be discussed at the Midwifery <strong>Conference</strong> under the<br />
