Charity Walk 2003<br />
<strong>The</strong> <strong>Institute</strong> participated in the charity walk organised<br />
by Neighbourhood Advice-Action Council on 14<br />
December 2003 to raise funds for the service units.<br />
<strong>The</strong> <strong>Institute</strong> was awarded “Highest Number <strong>of</strong><br />
Participants Award” and “Highest Funds Raised<br />
Award”.<br />
Education and Careers Expo 2004<br />
<strong>The</strong> <strong>Institute</strong> participated in the Education and Careers<br />
Expo 2004 from 19 to 22 February 2004 at the <strong>Hong</strong><br />
<strong>Kong</strong> Convention and Exhibition Centre. At the Expo,<br />
Council members enthusiastically introduced the roles<br />
<strong>of</strong> Company Secretary, the <strong>Institute</strong>’s services and the<br />
new International Qualifying Scheme to visitors. A<br />
career seminar on Duties <strong>of</strong> Company Secretary / Routes<br />
Charitable Donation<br />
<strong>The</strong> <strong>Institute</strong> helps to solicit donations for the needy.<br />
During the year, donation flyers for <strong>The</strong> Salvation Army<br />
and East China Flood Relief Project were circulated to<br />
members.<br />
Community Services<br />
<strong>The</strong> <strong>Institute</strong> supported 2004 Ten Outstanding Young<br />
Persons Selection organised by the Junior Chamber<br />
International <strong>Hong</strong> <strong>Kong</strong>. Such participation reflected<br />
the <strong>Institute</strong>’s recognition <strong>of</strong> the contributions <strong>of</strong> young<br />
people who excel in pr<strong>of</strong>essional endeavours and<br />
commitment to shaping a better <strong>Hong</strong> <strong>Kong</strong>.<br />
to HKICS Qualification was delivered by the Chairman<br />
<strong>of</strong> Education Committee Natalia K.M. Seng to over<br />
150 participants.<br />
Looking Forward<br />
<strong>The</strong> <strong>Institute</strong> will continue to raise members’ awareness<br />
regarding the plight <strong>of</strong> the needy in our society and<br />
extend help and care to them for the year ahead.<br />
