VALE MICHAEL JUNCK
The Board of Directors, management, staff
and employees of Kurrajong Waratah were
shocked and saddened to learn of the tragic
loss of their longstanding employee and
friend, Michael Junck as a result of a tragic
accident near Wagga Wagga recently.
In organisations such as Kurrajong Waratah,
people with a disability are often involved for
the majority of their lives and as a result, very
close relationships are developed and to lose
someone in this way is particularly tragic
This was certainly the case with Michael
Junck.
Michael was a hard working and loyal
employee who had a great outlook on life.
He was totally committed to his work as a
member of The Clothes Basket team where
he had worked for 23 years. Staff and fellow
employees fondly recall their friendship
with Michael, his warm friendly ways and
his delight in having contact with the many
Clothes Basket customers he got to know
well over the years.
Michael’s family were incredibly loving,
supportive and encouraging throughout
Michael’s life and showed that love to the
fullest on many occasions enabling Michael
to maintain a quality of life that would not
have been possible otherwise.
Sadly, Michael’s father Brian was injured
in the accident although we are pleased to
report he is improving more each day.
We extend to Michael’s entire family our
sincere condolences. Michael will long be
remembered as a valued member of Kurrajong
Waratah’s family.
