Chapter 100 is once again active. The new officers are:<br />

In the reactivation process, we mailed meeting notices to 233<br />

names/addresses. Of those, 19 were returned and sent to our<br />

Membership Administration office. Twenty-one of the recipients<br />

showed up at the first meeting.<br />

John Dozier, Virginia Department Commander, drove up<br />

from the “Tidewater” area with Chaplain Leo Ruffing, John<br />

(Sonny) Edwards and Dick Hartrung. It was good to see them.<br />

(Dick and Leo are the “Co-chairmen” of the October Norfolk<br />

Reunion.)<br />

We look forward to resuming our activities with the KWVA.<br />

celebration held at the<br />

Covington Memorial Gardens<br />

on 24 May <strong>2008</strong>. President<br />

Mel Aldridge placed a wreath<br />

at the memorial in honor of<br />

Marcos Botis, the recently<br />

deceased President of CID<br />

The Chapter has the privilege<br />

and duty of putting up the<br />

display of 50 flags to honor the<br />

service members of each state<br />

and their service to our country.<br />
