emony was performed at the Brevard Memorial Center by<br />

Goodwork Korea, Inc. The medallion awards were presented by<br />

Mr. Byunghoon. A total of 124 medallions were awarded to local<br />

<strong>Korean</strong> <strong>War</strong> veterans during the ceremony. An additional 10<br />

were presented by Chapter 210 member Dr. Chyung Kim at the<br />

residences of award-qualifying veterans throughout Brevard<br />

County.<br />

The next major event we supported was the Annual Vietnam<br />

and All <strong>Veterans</strong> Reunion held at Wickham Park in Melbourne,<br />

Florida. Here again our chapter performed color guard and<br />

wreath laying and security and poster displays in support of the<br />

Vietnam Moving Wall display.<br />

Chapter 210 member Paul Spescia was chosen “State Veteran<br />

of the Year” at the KWVA Department of Florida Convention<br />

held at Crystal River, Florida, which was hosted by CID 172,<br />

Citrus County [FL].<br />

Paul was presented the Eddie Ko Award Trophy and<br />

Certification and other prizes.<br />

Chapter 210’s Color Guard also had the honor of opening the<br />

Annual Award Ceremony put on by the Brevard <strong>Veterans</strong><br />

Council, Inc. and <strong>Veterans</strong> Memorial Center, Inc. It also participated<br />

with other Color Guard teams (15) at the US Naval<br />

Commodore John Barry Ceremony held at Port Canaveral.<br />

Commodore Barry engaged British warships off the coast of<br />

Cape Canaveral in the last battle of the Revolutionary <strong>War</strong> and<br />

was instrumental in the eventual creation of a separate<br />

Department of the Navy.<br />
