Dear Member,
As we approach the end of summer, the Club continues
to offer our Members many wonderful events and
activities. We have a tremendous month planned for
you including Friday Night Live at the pool, our Parent/Child
Glow Ball Event, a
Nine & Dine Tournament, Funin
–the Sun Tennis Events, a
Kid’s Movie Night, and more!
We are also preparing to host
our sixth Annual Employee Appreciation
Party on August
15 th . If you would like to donate
your time to work this
event, please email me or sign

up on the Club’s website. If you would like to make
donations for the event (sporting tickets, apparel, gift
cards or gifts), please drop them off at the administrative
offices. No donation is too small! You will notice
a $20 Member charge on your Member statement this
month for the Employee Appreciation Party. This is a
voluntary charge, but I hope that every Member will
support this important day for our staff.
Since more Members are utilizing the Club’s Kid Zone
babysitting service, we are extending the hours. Kid
Zone will now be open from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.,
Tuesday through Friday. After Labor Day, the Kid Zone
will also be open on Wednesday and Friday evenings
from 5:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Please remember to
make Kid Zone reservations in advance.
The Crocs Swim Team finished another successful season
last month. Kudos go out to Karen Heinz, Karen
Banas, Jen Lawrence, Kathy Roetering, Ann Bonner
Marybeth Sedlack, Diane Michalski, and Monica Adams,
who all sat on this year’s Swim Team Committee.
Not only did we win several swim meets, but the kids
had a wonderful time competing and improving their

strokes. We are already looking forward to next season
at the pool, which will have new swim lane markers!
The Tennis Committee is working hard to plan our first
ever Cattail Creek Tennis Classic on September 22 -25.
This three day event for members and guests will include
competitive match play and a Luau Cocktail
Party! Please visit the Club’s website to learn more
and register. With Christine Callahan as the Tennis
Committee Chair, I know it will be a great weekend!
Finally, last month I had the opportunity to attend a
private wine tasting at Constantine Wines with several
club managers from the area. As you may know, the
owner of Constantine Wines, Gus Kalaris, is a Cattail
Creek Member! We all had a wonderful time and
learned a great deal about some incredible wines
(several of which we are adding to our wine list)! In
August, we will feature the Kalaris Pinot Noir by the
glass. Of course, it will also be available by the bottle.
Take my advice and try it; you will love it!
