What is being done now? The task force does not want to duplicate or repeat what the municipal, provincial or federal governments have in place. 2.3 Visions for the Future of the Municipality and the Task Force 1. Sustain businesses we have and attract new businesses. 2. Weekly highlights on website to promote the municipality. 3. Any financial decisions include plans for feasible long term maintenance. Focus on longevity of projects 4. Prepare a report on what is working, and then enhancing it. 5. Look at what sectors are lacking within each community, discover why, and then develop ideas to provide what is missing. 6. Need to look at both long and short term goals for the municipality. 7. Marinas and river ways need maintenance and improvement. 8. Develop Thedford as “country at heart”, similar to Elora. 9. Encourage the residents of Lambton Shores continue to volunteer. Rally volunteers. 10. Promote volunteering to develop youth activities such as Boy Scouts in Thedford. 11. Develop youth initiatives. 12. Regenerate Partnerships. 13. Offer low interest loans, financing incentives and/or assistance. 2.4 Communication and Documentation To reduce wasted paper, email, Lambton’s website and usb sticks will be utilized to share information.
