STUDENT CALLERS
Over 50 students helped to raise money through
the telephone campaigns.

During 2008-9, the University’s Benefactors’ Fund
will focus support on the University’s libraries.
An integral part of university life, these facilities
provide essential resources as well as useful
meeting points and quiet areas for study.
FUTURE CAMPAIGNS
The University has two main libraries - the Sydney Jones for
arts, humanities and social and environmental studies, and the
Harold Cohen for science, engineering, medical, dental and
veterinary sciences.
Dr Lisa Hannah-Stewart (BSc Zoology 1997, MSc Evolutionary
Psychology 1999, PhD Evolutionary Psychology, 2004) is the
University’s Annual Giving Manager and a recipient of the John
Lennon Scholarship. She says: “For students, the resources
and equipment in the libraries are invaluable, which is why they
are a natural choice for support from the Benefactors’ Fund.
We plan to support these facilities in offering the best possible
service for staff and students, complementing the high quality
teaching environment that the University already provides.”
