Sharp-shooting <strong>Cadets</strong><br />
Each year the County of Lancaster Rifle<br />
Association hold a Cadet Competition<br />
at Altcar Training Camp to promote<br />
shooting skills with the Target Rifle.<br />
Teams from both the ACF and the<br />
CCF competed over two days and great<br />
skill was required for the 300 and 500<br />
yard ranges.<br />
Wet and windy weather added to the<br />
challenge but the results were good<br />
with Sedburgh School winners for the<br />
CCF with Merchant Taylors CCF second,<br />
and for the ACF, Cheshire followed by<br />
Merseyside.<br />
<strong>The</strong> trophies were presented by<br />
Chairman David Taylor, who shot<br />
for both England and Great Britain.<br />

the top cadets to go forward to shoot<br />
at Bisley.<br />
