Registrations are processed on a first-come, first-served<br />

basis. Registrations are accepted until the start of a class<br />

as long as there is an opening in the class and the class has<br />

not been cancelled. Class cancellation process begins seven<br />

calendar days before class start date.<br />

If the class starts within one week, we recommend that you<br />

register in person or by telephone to ensure your registration<br />

request is processed immediately.<br />

Instructor Spotlight<br />

Kirsten Christianson, Papermaker<br />

Kirsten is an award winning environmental artist who learns<br />

from nature and whose natural expression in handmade<br />

paper experiments with wild fibers, local plants, branches,<br />

and stones. Kirsten earned her Master of Fine Arts from the<br />

University of <strong>Wisconsin</strong>-Milwaukee and has studied at the<br />

Minnesota <strong>Center</strong> for Book Arts, Minneapolis, and the Art<br />

Institute of Chicago. She has shared her papermaking skills<br />

with others at the Woodwalk Gallery in Door County, the<br />

Clearing in Ellison Bay, and through numerous artist in<br />

residence programs throughout <strong>Wisconsin</strong>.<br />

to learn new artistic skills? The NWTC <strong>Artisan</strong> and Business <strong>Center</strong><br />

offers hands-on courses and workshops in clay, woodturning,<br />

quilting and more, as well as business classes for artisans who<br />

dream of turning their talent into budding businesses.<br />

This 12,000 square foot, fully-equipped facility features a<br />

woodturning lab, ceramic studio, a quilting center for basic to<br />

advanced quilters, and three classrooms.<br />
