The purpose:<br />
To develop future QOC leaders, managers and employees that will add value to the effectiveness of the<br />
QOC.<br />
Types of QOC’s <strong>Scholarship</strong> <strong>Programme</strong>s:<br />
1. <strong>Scholarship</strong> (Overseas) <strong>Programme</strong>.<br />
2. Sponsorship (Domestic) <strong>Programme</strong>.<br />
3. Talented Athletes (Overseas & Domestic) <strong>Programme</strong>.<br />
QOC <strong>Scholarship</strong> <strong>Programme</strong>:<br />
QOC’s <strong>Scholarship</strong> programme aligns with the public policy of <strong>Qatar</strong>ization in relation to <strong>Qatar</strong> Development<br />
Strategy 2011-2016 and Vision 2030. As a large employer, QOC is committed to developing its workforce<br />
by providing international higher education opportunities to eligible <strong>Qatar</strong>i students. QOC’s International<br />
students are typically placed in western universities, primarily located in the USA and the UK.<br />
The emphasis of the scholarship programme is on the annual recruitment of graduating seniors from <strong>Qatar</strong>’s<br />
public and private high schools. The final stage of QOC’s International scholarship program is when the<br />
graduating <strong>Qatar</strong>i student completes undergraduate study and returns to QOC as a meaningful member of a<br />
dynamic workforce with unlimited career opportunities.<br />

QOC’S Sponsorship <strong>Programme</strong>:<br />
QOC recognizes the need to project and plan for its manpower needs over the next few decades. A key<br />
aspect of this is an effective recruitment, selection, and personnel assignment program which aligns with<br />
<strong>Qatar</strong>ization as embedded in <strong>Qatar</strong> Development Strategy (2011-2016) and Vision 2030.<br />
A fundamental aspect of the Sponsorship Program is to ensure “capacity building and career development”<br />
by providing local higher education sponsorship opportunities at select universities for <strong>Qatar</strong>is. A culminating<br />
aspect of QOC’s sponsorship program occurs when the graduating <strong>Qatar</strong>i student becomes a member of a<br />
dynamic QOC workforce.<br />

QOC’S Talented Athlete <strong>Programme</strong>:<br />
Talented Athlete <strong>Programme</strong> is for the athletic student who excels in or has tremendous potential in a sport,<br />
and who wants to pursue a career in Sports Management, Business, Engineering, Law, or other academic<br />
majors as designated by QOC. Students in this program are recommended by a Sport Federation and are<br />
jointly sponsored by QOC and the Federation. Their athletic talent can be in any sport recognized by a Sport<br />
Federation. TAP tudents may study in <strong>Qatar</strong> or overseas.<br />

Required Documents:<br />
• An approved and officially stamped secondary school certificate.<br />
• A Copy of the government issued <strong>Qatar</strong>i I.D.<br />
• One Passport size photo.<br />
• A Copy of recent TOFEL or IELTS Scores<br />
• A Copy of the University Acceptance Letter<br />
• A current Resume, if available.<br />
QOC Sponsorship Admission Requirements (Male &<br />
Female):<br />
1. <strong>Qatar</strong>i citizenship<br />
2. Currently enrolled in and attending a university located on the Campus of Education City or <strong>Qatar</strong> University<br />
3. Completion of a minimum of 30 Credit Hours toward the major<br />
4. Possess an accumulative GPA of 3.0, or above, out of a 4.0 grade scale<br />
5. Successfully pass a personal interview with QOC representatives<br />
6. Not under current scholarship-sponsorship by another entity or organization<br />

• 1 Copy/s of your Original Transcripts.<br />
