NEW STUDENTS:<br />

How to apply and enroll<br />

1) APPLY AND ENROLL ONLINE AT<br />

www.palomar.edu or submit a written<br />

application to the Admissions Office on the<br />

San Marcos campus, Escondido Education<br />

Center or any of the Education sites. Visit the<br />

Admissions Office or apply online to receive<br />

your enrollment appointment. Call Admissions<br />

at 760-744-1150, ext. 2160 for recorded<br />

information and ext. 2164 for assistance.<br />

2) INVESTIGATE FINANCIAL<br />

ASSISTANCE OPTIONS at Financial Aid,<br />

Veterans and Scholarship Services in the<br />

Student Services Center on the San Marcos<br />

campus or visit online at www.palomar.edu/fa<br />

for program information, applications, and<br />

eligibility criteria. 760-891-7510.<br />

3) ATTEND AN ASSESSMENT,<br />

ORIENTATION AND ADVISEMENT<br />

SESSION prior to enrolling in courses. This<br />

testing process will help you select appropriate<br />

English and math courses. 760-744-1150, ext.<br />

2476 or ext. 2383.<br />

4) USE YOUR CLASS SCHEDULE to help<br />

you select the right classes. You will also find<br />

important enrollment information, calendar<br />

dates and other information necessary for your<br />

success. The <strong>Class</strong> <strong>Schedule</strong> is available online<br />

at www.palomar.edu, in the Admissions Office<br />

and the Counseling Office on the San Marcos<br />

campus, the Education Center in Escondido,<br />

at our five Education Sites, and at most North<br />

County public libraries.<br />

5) LOOK UP TEXTBOOK<br />

INFORMATION by using the searchable<br />

on-line class schedule at www.palomar.edu/<br />

schedule. The “Textbook Info.” link takes you to<br />

information about textbooks and other required<br />

or recommended materials for the class.<br />

6) SEE A COUNSELOR prior to enrolling in<br />

classes to ensure that you meet prerequisites<br />

and are taking courses that meet your<br />

educational goals. 760-744-1150, ext. 2179.<br />

7) ENROLL IN CLASSES that will meet<br />

your educational goals. Once your application<br />

is processed, you will be issued an online<br />

enrollment appointment. You can enroll<br />

online at www.palomar.edu.<br />

8) PAY YOUR FEES promptly! Students who<br />

enroll in Spring <strong>2012</strong> classes and do not pay will<br />

be automatically dropped from those classes<br />

within 10 days or by January 10, whichever is earlier.<br />

After January10, there will be no automatic drops<br />

and it will be the student’s responsibility to drop<br />

by the refund deadline of January 30.<br />
