Debate on Address
Debate on Address
as to why that faction intends to
rule Zimbabwe when it does not
have respect for people as its
violent motive would always lead
to butchering not only men but
even women who happen to be
mothers and even old ones.
I hope these other members will
keep it up and allow people to see
who or which group of people is
the number one enemy of
Zimbabwe. As representatives of
the electorate we need to tackle
the challenges we face as they
affect all the people whether they
support the ruling party or the
opposition party.
Mr. Speaker, may I on behalf
of women of Zimbabwe thank His
Excellency for the vision he has
for women leaders and his full
support that women should also
take up decision-making positions
in our society. As women, we used
to take the back seat in such areas
due to fear, poverty and inadequate
education standards, but owing to
your support “Baba” we are now
bold enough to take the bull by its
horns.
The passing of Constitutional
Amendment No 17 has come as a
landslide victory for women as
now women can demand their
quota at all levels. This has now
enabled women to own land on
their own resulting in women
proving that they are a valuable
group of people who can compete
in all areas of development and
sometimes much better than men.
Mr. Speaker Sir, the issue of
inflation should really give each
and every Zimbawean sleepless
nights as this animal or monster
will lead us, if uncurbed into our
own destruction. It seems to me
Mr. Speaker that whilst we have
dedicated people who would strive
tirelessly to curb this destructive
animal called “inflation”, there are
some amongst us who also spend
sleepless nights undoing that,
which would have taken time to
be put in place to control the
animal. May I say Mr. Speaker to
all, “Zimbabweans lets aim to
build our country together so that
at the end of the road we can look
back and become proud of our
selves.”
Yes Mr. Speaker, this year, the
Almighty God heard our cries and
prayers and we received enough
