‘Ambass-a-Door’
invests now for
the upturn
AMBASS-A-DOOR Windows & Doors Ltd is a sister company
to Sprowston Joinery of Norfolk, which was first established
in 1955, originally making general architectural joinery.
Ambass-a-Door makes standard section windows and doors,
which are made to any size. The company’s success and growth is
down to its high quality products and reliable customer service.
Ambass-a-Door sells products to national builders, window installers
and other joinery companies. Despite the recession, business
is steady and it has given the company the confidence to
prepare for the upturn. The company’s enquiry
level is encouraging and there is a
positive attitude for the company’s future,
so in April, Ambass-a-Door installed a
Weinig new generation Powermat 400
moulder (P400) to increase production
efficiency.
The Powermat 400 features a memory
system for quick set-up and provides the
facility to use existing or new, much
lighter PowerLock tooling — ideal for a
first investment in new technology moulders.
Benefits include faster setting,
higher precision, top quality finish and increased
productivity.
“It has since met all expectations,” said
managing director, David Lomax, “and the
saving in set-up time is considerable.
Quality and accuracy are noticeably
near perfect and Weinig
has lived up to its reputation for
technology and service.”
Ambass-A-Door windows are of
the highest quality. The company
has established a national customer
base and steady growth
level. Any bespoke window can be
supplied in soft or hard wood, in
small or large batches. A 30 year
guarantee is given against rot and
a 10 year guarantee on paint work
is provided. Sash windows form
the biggest part of the company’s
production.
It is good to know that the
Lomax family has the confidence
to invest now for the future. They
are a shining light in the present
market gloom.
