Osaugie Trail, Superior, Wisconsin right<br />

across from Barker’s Island on East US<br />

Highway 2.<br />

Walk/Run Route<br />

Starting on <strong>the</strong> Barker’s Island East<br />

<strong>Cause</strong>way, we will walk/run to<br />

McDonald’s on East 2nd Street, turn<br />

around and come back to <strong>the</strong> starting<br />

point.<br />

Annual Shelter Raffle<br />

The drawing will be held immediately<br />

following <strong>the</strong> race. Tickets are available<br />

until <strong>the</strong> start <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> event.<br />

First Prize: $500 Gift Certificate to<br />

Campbell’s Do-It-Center<br />

Many o<strong>the</strong>r prizes available too.<br />

Funds raised through this event are used<br />

to house, feed, and care <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> animals<br />

brought to <strong>the</strong> Humane Society <strong>of</strong><br />

Douglas County each day. Your<br />

participation in this event is a major part<br />

<strong>of</strong> our funding <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> year and is greatly<br />

9:00 am Walk/Run begins<br />

Drawing <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> Annual Raffle to follow<br />

<strong>the</strong> race.<br />

Want to be <strong>the</strong> top dog on your block?<br />

Raise Pledges—it’s fun and easy. Talk<br />

to your family, friends, neighbors, and<br />

co-workers. Record your pledges on<br />

<strong>the</strong> Pledge Form on <strong>the</strong> reverse side <strong>of</strong><br />

this brochure. All pledges are due <strong>the</strong><br />

day <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> event or may be turned in<br />

early. Prizes will be awarded to <strong>the</strong><br />

individual adult and youth collecting <strong>the</strong><br />

most pledges. If each participant<br />

collects $50 or more in pledges in<br />

addition to <strong>the</strong> event fee, you will<br />

receive a race sweatshirt too!<br />

Rules <strong>of</strong> this Event<br />

1. Dogs must have current pro<strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong><br />

rabies vaccination at <strong>the</strong> time <strong>of</strong><br />

registration.<br />

2. Children under <strong>the</strong> age <strong>of</strong> 13 must be<br />

accompanied by an adult.<br />

3. Your dog(s) must be leashed at all<br />

times (6 ft. leash or shorter—no flex<br />

leads).<br />

4. Individuals may walk up to 2 dogs.<br />

5. You are responsible <strong>for</strong> cleaning up<br />

after your dog(s).<br />

Please remember to walk/run at a<br />

moderate pace (consider <strong>the</strong> wea<strong>the</strong>r and<br />

age <strong>of</strong> your dog). Dogs may be close<br />

toge<strong>the</strong>r at times. Please take this into<br />

account when entering your best friend.<br />

The event director reserves <strong>the</strong> right to<br />

refuse any dog that may be dangerous or<br />

disruptive to <strong>the</strong> event.<br />
