Rent free one-bedroom apartment + salary (excellent benefits package)<br />

Wednesday – Sunday<br />

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY: Apartment common area cleaning for 5 apartment building complex (52 units)<br />

located in a quiet St. Louis Park cul-de-sac. Apartment turnover cleaning averages 2 times/month. Daily<br />

maintenance of grounds, including care for lawn and sidewalks. Weekend custodial support for <strong>Family</strong> <strong>Center</strong>.<br />

JOB DUTIES:<br />

Clean apartment common areas - vacuum carpet, mop tile entryways, clean front and rear entry<br />

doors, wash wainscoting and walls as needed.<br />

Laundry room maintenance - clean floor, empty trash receptacles, ensure laundry equipment is<br />

operational,<br />

Weekend office cleaning - Sweep and mop floors, clean restrooms, empty trash, vacuum hall<br />

carpets as needed, other custodial work as needed,<br />

Apartment turnover cleaning - Clean kitchen appliances, cupboards, bathroom fixtures, tile,<br />

vacuum carpets and/or mop wood floors, clean windows and clean furniture,<br />

Grounds maintenance - pick-up litter, empty and maintain trash & cigarette receptacles, sweep<br />

sidewalks,<br />

Patio and playground areas - sweep and wash patio areas, clean patio furniture and playground<br />

equipment, clean playground area,<br />

Lawn maintenance - Mow, weed lawn and flower beds, rake and fertilize lawn, water plants and<br />

lawn as needed.<br />

Snow maintenance - shovel and de-ice stoops and sidewalks, as needed, to supplement contracted<br />

snow removal service.<br />

Maintenance support - responds to emergency maintenance calls and assist agency’s Maintenance<br />

Technician as needed.<br />

Trash maintenance - clean dumpster areas and maintain recycling containers.<br />

Light painting.<br />

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:<br />

High School diploma or GED.<br />

Experience in caretaking or related cleaning .<br />

QUALIFICATIONS:<br />

Professional and respectful with residents.<br />

Ability to maintain professional boundaries while working with vulnerable diverse population.<br />

Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.<br />

Ability to lift 50+ pounds to chest height.<br />

Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, pull and push.<br />

Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance a must.<br />

ABOUT THE PROGRAM: <strong>Perspectives</strong> is the largest Supportive Housing Program in Minnesota serving 84-87<br />

homeless, recovering, co-occurring clients and their 130 children annually. The target population is recovering<br />

homeless women with their children. Critical one-to-one case management is provided in order to assist the<br />

families in their transition back into the socio-economic mainstream. Our campus consists of five apartment<br />

buildings, tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac located in an affordable housing community within St. Louis Park,<br />

MN.<br />
