4000 RADAR
ProVida mobile speed enforcement systems, based on approved
manual Distance/Time measurement technology is a market
leading and trusted solution for police forces around the world,
with thousands of systems being sold and used for over 20 years.
With the introduction of ProVida 4000 RADAR, Petards have
enhanced the system functionality to allow integration of
mobile radar systems to enable compliance in countries where
radar speed measurement devices are the accepted standard.
Building on the unrivalled performance and reliability of ProVida
technology the ProVida 4000 RADAR system now records
MPEG4/H.264 quality video footage overlaid with patrol car speed
and a fully automatic radar speed measurement of target vehicles.
Using the radar sensing capability, the unit records the speed and
footage of vehicles driving in either direction. The watermarked
protected video evidence ProVida offers has been proven to
improve the conviction rate of offenders who may have otherwise
denied the speeding or driving offence.
Key Features & Benefits
ProVida DVR Solution
ProVida 4000 RADAR has the ability to
integrate with any monitor fitted into the
vehicle (even if it is already being used for
other purposes), as long as there is a
composite video signal input.
Once installed, the system acts as several extra
vigilant eyes on the road. Utilising a
directional sensing radar, speeding events and
dangerous driving are recorded automatically
without any need for driver intervention.
At any time, points of interest can be quickly
‘marked’ on the video for fast and simple
retrieval at a later stage.
The ProVida Mobile DVR range have a rugged
design, making them ideal for any vehicle
CCTV application.
Each ProVida DVR can be connected to up to 4
cameras and has a control interface to allow
users to replay footage whilst in the vehicle.
The recorder supports the streaming of live
video and connections to multiple DVRs across
a users fleet.
Unique to ProVida, up to 100 encrypted
marked events can be downloaded
automatically by inserting a USB memory stick
into the DVR, speeding up the retrieval
process.
4000 RADAR

Combining radar speed
information with
ProVida 4000 video
evidence offers a truly
robust, reliable and
advanced policing tool
Training
With so many police enforcement systems in
use today, it is vital that police officers (who
are often in sections for short periods of
time) quickly gain a full understanding of
how to get the best out of these tools.
Petards are delighted to offer a range of
dedicated training courses to ensure officers
gain full best practice knowledge of the
ProVida system and our specialist cameras.
Training courses include:
• ProVida Speed Enforcement
• ProVida ANPR
• Camera Optimisation & Set Up
• First Line Technical Support
World Wide Distribition
Petards have world-wide distribution and
service facilities in over 20 countries.
Any police force introducing ProVida 4000
RADAR to their traffic surveillance programme
will have a local ProVida distributor who can
provide first line sales and service support.
Approvals
ProVida 4000 RADAR respects national laws
and regulations and has national &
international approvals when required.
