Resident Pharmacists are an essential part of a valued and<br />

progressive on-call pharmacy service and have back-up provided<br />

by Senior Pharmacists. As part of the Department’s commitment<br />

<strong>to</strong> supporting CPD activities, a comprehensive induction<br />

programme is provided and the undertaking of a well-regarded,<br />

fully funded Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy is<br />

encouraged. Previous hospital experience is not essential as an<br />

extended training programme is available. A varied rotational<br />

programme (including specialities such as cardiology, elderly<br />

medicine, medical admissions, paediatrics, surgery, aseptics and<br />

medicines information) supported by competency-based<br />

assessments and research opportunities will allow you <strong>to</strong> flourish<br />

Fixed-term appointment for two years<br />

We are looking for an experienced academic who can integrate their<br />

scientific knowledge in pharmaceutics in<strong>to</strong> both the teaching of<br />

Pharmaceutics and the application of that knowledge in<strong>to</strong> Pharmacy<br />

Practice and Clinical Pharmacy teaching. You will also have the<br />

opportunity <strong>to</strong> develop your academic management skills, providing<br />

support <strong>to</strong> the Course Direc<strong>to</strong>r of the recently accredited Foundation<br />

Degree in <strong>Pharmaceutical</strong> and Chemical Sciences.<br />

Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice/<br />

Clinical Pharmacy Ref: 10/244<br />

£39,015 - £46,169 per annum<br />

The Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice / Clinical Pharmacy will have<br />

an important role <strong>to</strong> play in research and teaching for the MPharm and<br />

related academic programmes. You will i<strong>deal</strong>ly have academic experience<br />

in a School of Pharmacy, and a strong interest in teaching and research in<br />

at least one area <strong>with</strong>in Pharmacy Practice and/or Clinical Pharmacy.<br />

Teaching Fellow in Pharmacy Practice/<br />

Clinical Pharmacy Ref: 10/242<br />

£39,015 - £46,169 per annum pro-rata<br />

Part-time up <strong>to</strong> 0.7 FTE, Fixed-term appointment for<br />

two years<br />

The Teaching Fellow post will suit pharmacists who are looking <strong>to</strong> move<br />

in<strong>to</strong> academia, further developing their education and training skills, and<br />

those who want <strong>to</strong> share their professional experience <strong>to</strong> develop the<br />

next generation of pharmacists. The successful candidate would<br />

continue <strong>to</strong> work part-time in a pharmacy practice environment.<br />
