Hosted by the H. H. Wills Physics Laboratory,
University of Bristol, ICPA-16 aims to be an
informative and enjoyable conference, bringing
together participants from across the e + / Ps
annihilation community and providing a forum
for younger researchers/ postgraduate students
to interact with leaders in the field and
showcase their work.
Along with a full oral and poster programme, the
conference will include a number of invited
talks, encompassing all topics across the e + / Ps
research field.
Also, we are gauging interest amongst young
researchers/students in a two day long Preconference
School. You are, therefore, kindly
requested to indicate interest by the 20 January
2012 via email in order to facilitate organization.

<strong>Conference</strong> registration
There will be the usual three registration
categories for Regular, Student and Guest/
Accompanying participants. The registration fees
will include access to all conference sessions, a
copy of the abstract book and conference
proceedings, lunch and coffee during breaks, the
welcome reception and the conference banquet,
as well as the conference excursion on the
afternoon of Wednesday 22 August 2012. The
registration fee will be announced in the second
circular.
Accommodation
The conference registration fee will not include
accommodation. There are a number of hotels to
suit all tastes and budgets within walking distance
of the conference venue. In due course, the
conference website will provide a list of
recommended hotels, which could be booked
directly via their websites. In addition, some
cheaper rooms will also be available at the
University halls of residences (a limited fraction of
these will be en-suite rooms) which may be booked
directly through the University website.
<strong>Conference</strong> Proceedings
The abstracts of all contributions will be printed
before the conference and the conference
proceedings papers will be published in the Journal
of Physics: <strong>Conference</strong> Series by the Institute of
Physics, UK. This is an open access journal and the
content of the proceedings will be available in full
text online at http://iopscience.iop.org.

Bristol
The conference will be held in Bristol, one of
the most picturesque, historic and vibrant
maritime cities in the UK. With excellent road
and rail connections, Bristol provides a
gateway to the South West of England with
easy access to both, coast and beautiful
country side. Bristol has several unique sights,
including engineering masterpieces such as the
iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge and Brunel’s
S. S. Great Britain, historic churches, cathedrals
and the elegant University buildings. Famous
Bristolians include Paul Dirac, Isambard Brunel
and of course, Banksy. Although the best way
to see Bristol is probably from a hot air
balloon, we also recommend a City Sightseeing
tour or Bristol Ferry Boat tour.
