clinics are open to boys and girls ages 7-18. The cost is $60 per<br />
clinic. Checks are payable to "<strong>PHS</strong> Basketball". You may register<br />
online at phsshotdoctor@gmail.com . Or, you can contact Kristin<br />
Bradbury at 510-595-1410 if you need a registration form sent via<br />
US Mail or have any questions. At these clinics, players will learn<br />
how to become better shooters. We will work on shooting form,<br />
including balance and finish; repetition; shooting off the dribble;<br />
hand-eye coordination; proper Free Throw form and finish; and<br />
mental aspects of shooting.<br />
<strong>PHS</strong> BOOSTERS ANNUAL HIGHLANDER CLASSIC GOLF AND<br />
TENNIS TOURNAMENT<br />
Calling all golf and tennis players -- don't miss the 5th Annual<br />
Highlander Classic at the beautiful Claremont Country Club on<br />
Monday, October 15. This year's Honorary Chair is Dr. John<br />
Whalen, Piedmont High school athletic star and long time Piedmont<br />
resident and pediatrician who provided free physicals to Piedmont<br />
athletes. Lunch for all players begins at 11am; Golf and Tennis<br />
follows at 12 noon and round out the day at the Silent Auction and<br />
Awards Ceremony at 4:30. For more information, contact Kim Lally<br />

Parents, please use Compostable Products and support Zero Waste.<br />
If you are organizing or donating food for a school event, please use<br />
reusable food and drink containers, compostable or paper cups and<br />
coolers instead of single use plastic bottles, paper plates or bowls,<br />
compostable utensils instead of plastic, and paper or cloth tablecloths<br />
instead of plastic.<br />
Need GREEN SUPPLIES? <strong>PHS</strong> has access to water jugs and purple/<br />
white cloth tablecloths. To make using compostable products as easy and<br />
cost effective as possible, compostable products are available for any<br />
school related function for the bulk/ school discount price. For help, more<br />
information, inventory supplies, or to make green suggestions, contact<br />
Debbie Pfeiffer, dpfeiffer3@gmail.com , Green Team/Green Initiative,<br />

SENIOR PHOTOS<br />
Please contact Jody Weverka<br />

information and deadlines regarding senior yearbook<br />
photos and quotes. Senior baby and sibling photos<br />
are due by 10/21 and may be emailed in jpg format<br />
to piedmonthighyearbook@gmail.com.<br />
Senior standouts are due to your English Teacher,<br />
Carolina Smit or Ms. Weverka by Friday, 10/7.<br />
Senior portraits must by taken by 10/14 and chosen<br />
by 10/28. Please note that only those portraits with<br />
blue backgrounds are acceptable.<br />
SENIOR PICNIC AT CASTLE ROCK PARK<br />
All <strong>PHS</strong> and Millennium Seniors are encouraged to<br />
participate in the traditional all-day picnic at Castle<br />
Rock Park in Walnut Creek on Friday, September<br />
21. Buses will board at 8AM from <strong>PHS</strong> and students<br />
will enjoy a fun and relaxing day with swimming,<br />
softball, frisbee, a BBQ lunch and much more.<br />
Students need to bring sunscreen,hats, swimsuits,<br />
towels, frisbees, balls and water bottles. There can<br />
be bees present so anyone allergenic should be<br />
sure to bring an epi pen or other medicine. Cost is<br />
$40 per student. If you did not pay at registration<br />
send checks or cash only (payable to <strong>PHS</strong> Senior<br />
Class) to Kim Hebert, 1115 Harvard Rd, Piedmont.<br />
Each student must have a signed permission slip,<br />
which can be turned into the office, at the Senior<br />
Information Night or at the Senior Table at the Back<br />
to <strong>School</strong> Night. Parent volunteers are needed for all<br />
kinds of jobs like grilling and chaperoning. Please<br />
sign up at the Senior Parent Information Night.<br />
