Engine, engine cover<br />

Cooling fluid level: half way to the top<br />

Oil quantity: within designated limits<br />

Throttle, choke and oil pump wires: no mechanical damage, smooth and unobstructed movement<br />

Radiators and hoses: no mechanical damage and/or leakage, air filters clean and intact<br />

Exhaust pipes and muffler: firmly in position, no cracks, springs intact and in position, rubber<br />

dumpers intact<br />

Fuel and/or oil leakage: no fluid on hoses, engine housing or engine cover<br />

Reduction gearbox: check for eventual oil leakage, all bolts and plugs attached firmly<br />

Fasteners and engine cover screws: tightened, engine cover undamaged<br />

Gascolator<br />

Drain approximately 1 cup of fuel and check for contamination.<br />

Spinner<br />

Spinner: no mechanical damage (e.g. cracks, impact spots), screws tight<br />

Bolts and nuts: secured<br />

Nose wheel: grab aircraft’s propeller and push it towards the ground to verify proper nose wheel<br />

suspension operation. Then lift the nose wheel off the ground and check for nose leg strut free play.<br />

Bolts: fastened<br />

Tire: no cracks, adequate pressure<br />

Wheel fairing: undamaged, firmly attached, clean (e.g. no mud or grass on the inside)<br />

Propeller<br />

Hub and blades: no mechanical damage (e.g. cracks), both immaculately clean<br />

Bolts and nuts: secured<br />

Undercarriage, wheels<br />

Bolts: fastened<br />

Landing gear strut: no mechanical damage (e.g. cracks), clean<br />

Wheel: no mechanical damage (e.g. cracks), clean<br />

Wheel axle and nut: fastened<br />

Fluid line (hydraulic brakes): no mechanical damage and/or leakage<br />

Tire: no cracks, adequate pressure
