GEnERaL inFoRmation
• Consult with t & C Sa regarding an
experienced travel agency to book your
flights.
When traveling, ensure that:
• all bags are adequately marked with
nametags for identification;
• Rifles should be transported in a lockable
gun case and ammunition in a separate
lockable container (part of checked in
luggage)
• Value added tax (Vat: currently 14%)
must be paid on services. trophies
exported via a taxidermist, are valued at
0% Vat.
• traveler’s checks, Cash, Checks are
accepted. a wire payment can be done
prior to your arrival – email anso@
africatrophyhunting.com for details. Credit
card payments can be done at a surcharge
of 2.5%. in shopping areas, credit cards
are widely accepted.
• insurance such as all risk, medical, Personal
liability, Loss of / or damage to trophies,
Comprehensive insurance for injuries
and/or damage to equipment and luggage, is
advisable.
• tipping/Gratuities to PH, tracker/skinner
at client’s own discretion. as a general
guideline for a 7 day safari: Your PH:
minimum of $500-$700 per client; tracker/
skinner: $100 - $200 per client.
• Recommended clothing: two sets of
leisure, three sets of hunting clothes.
Hunting clothes in dark/khaki/camouflage.
Combination of short pants/sleeves and
long pants/sleeves. Comfortable boots, four
pairs of socks, a hat, sun glasses, a pair
of leisure shoes. One windbreaker/fleece
and a warm hunting jacket. Warmer
clothes required when hunting in the Cape,
Free State and northern Cape. Personal
toiletries, medication, insect repellent,
sunscreen, camera, binoculars, flashlight,
ammunition belt and rifle cleaning
equipment. Laundry service is available.
tERmS & ConDitionS:
our daily rate inCLuDES: services of
professional hunter, accommodation,
gourmet meals, laundry services,
transportation to nearest airport and
within the hunting area, field preparation of
trophies.
ExCLuDED are: taxidermy work,
wounded trophies, rifle hire, air charters,
accommodation before and after the safari,
gratuities, air cargo charges, conservation
fee, trophy medals and Vat.
Donations: Day of arrival and day of
departure are included in the days specified
in the donation. only one donation per
family per season is allowed and donations
cannot be “stringed”. Donated animals
cannot be altered, replaced or guaranteed
– fair chase applies. Donated days cannot
be credited.
no hunting on Sundays, arrivals preferably
on Sundays.
