AT&T University<br />

Gene Innocenti has Chief of Staff and Executive Director<br />

duties supporting AT&T University. In that role, he leads<br />

a team responsible for the design and development of the<br />

AT&T University, Talent Management and Diversity Websites.<br />

Previously, he led the ATTU Operations team establishing key<br />

processes and infrastructure procedures to successfully launch<br />

the Leading with Distinction program and was one of the key<br />

contributors to the vision and design of the new AT&T University<br />

Headquarters at Whitacre Tower in Dallas, Tx.<br />

He has served as the director for many of legacy AT&T Management and Leadership<br />

organizations. He led the interface with the AT&T Corporate Offices to insure consistency and<br />

continuity of all Management and Leadership learning events throughout the merger activities.<br />

Gene also redesigned several programs in the AT&T Leadership Program for high potential<br />

employees, as well as acting as lead facilitator and developer for a variety of internal technical<br />

programs and organizational learning consultant supporting AT&T Business, Consumer and<br />

Common Support Groups. Gene has also led a team for marketing communications and materials<br />

publications for AT&T Bell Laboratories.<br />

Gene holds bachelor degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science from Iona College and a<br />

master’s degree in Information Management from Stevens Institute of Technology. Since starting<br />

his career at AT&T in 1982, Gene served in the Information Technology sector supporting financial<br />

systems as a software developer and database administrator for 8 years before moving on to<br />

positions within the education organization.<br />

AT&T University<br />

In 2000, in a partnership with Carnegie Mellon University, he led a group of AT&T technical<br />

developers and project managers in the successful design and launch of the IPSavvy Curriculum<br />

that won the prestigious 2001 IEEE EAB award for the “Employee Professional Development”. He<br />

has won numerous AT&T awards for software programming innovation including the AT&T Eagle<br />

Award for Excellence. Gene is a member of local and national learning institutions including the<br />

New Jersey Organization Development Learning Community (NJOD), and American Society for<br />

Training and Development (ASDT).<br />

He is a charter member of the executive team and advisory council that provides strategic<br />

event planning and execution for the Steven A Cox Charity Golf Classic. He also serves as the<br />

President for F.A.O.P. (Friends of Alexandria Park), a non profit organization benefiting the park’s<br />

beautification and continued growth and development, He is a member of the parish Planning<br />

Council at his church, St Catherine of Siena. He serves in a volunteer capacity for the Delaware<br />

Valley Regional High School baseball coaching staff. He also an Adjunct Professor of Computer<br />

Science at Raritan Valley Community College.<br />

An avid golfer, fitness disciple and former collegiate disc-jockey and sportscaster, Gene was born<br />

and raised in New York City and lives with his wife, Dina, and their three sons – Paul, Michael and<br />

Christopher in Hunterdon County, NJ.<br />
