D357, 307, 5,052,725 AND 5,104,158 Filtration Laguna PowerFlo Max Biological Underwater Filter (PT505) Laguna PowerFlo Max Biological Underwater Filter provides complete and efficient mechanical and biological filtration for ponds up to 800 US gallons (3028 L). The filters third chamber which houses Laguna’s BioMax filter media which deliver exceptional biological filtering action, thanks to their large surface area that allows millions of beneficial bacteria to grow. The friendly bacteria help break down harmful toxins. The end result is that the filter protects the pump from clogging and reduces pump maintenance and keeps water clean and clear. The filter can be installed near the edge of the pond for quick and easy access and maintenance. It is designed with a lift out skimmer net for fast and easy maintenance. The large media/pump chamber allows for custom configurations while the weir door design regulates water intake to the pump chamber. With its rugged construction the Skimmer is made for lasting and durable performance. Filtration Laguna Filter Spillway (PT490) The Laguna Filter Spillway can be installed in or above ground and is easy to use and maintain. A faceplate is included to allow easy liner attachment. Suitable for a pump range of 2000 – 4200 GPH. This Filter Spillway can be used on it’s own or in combination with our PT495 Skimmer to create a more complete filtration system. The unit has a 1 1 /2“ (38 mm) threaded bulkhead for making a hose connection to a circulating pump, such as a Laguna Max-Flo pump (sold separately). As water flows through the Filter Spillway, it passes through filter foam and biomedia (sold separately), both providing mechanical and biological filtration. Completely filtered water then exits the unit over a 14 1 /2“ (37 cm) wide spillway in stunning waterfall fashion. The top tray houses pumice filter material (included) which provides mechanical and biological filtration. Below the top tray, a foam pad (also included) performs mechanical filtration. The bottom tray is designed to hold the biological media of your choice, such as Laguna BioMax (not included). The trays have convenient handles which allow you to remove them easily. Other features include a built-in drain plug and two outlets for creating waterfalls or connecting to other pond equipment such as a UV Sterilizer.
