Hydrogen Peroxide
Take-home Tooth Whitening
Hydrogen Peroxide is a powerful oxidizing
agent that penetrates the enamel and
dentin. The length of treatment depends
on the level of discoloration and the
whitening product used. The higher the
concentration of hydrogen peroxide, the
shorter the wear-time.
Stable and Strong Gel
Take-home tooth whitening is faster,
easier and more effective with Premier’s
hydrogen peroxide products. Offered
in strengths of 9% or 14% hydrogen
peroxide, the patented water-based
gel was developed with the patient in
mind, to minimize sensitivity and assure
patient compliance. Premier’s products
meet the demands of today’s patient;
fast results, short wear-times and
reduced sensitivity.
Assure Patient Compliance
The leading cause of treatment failure
with take-home whitening is
patient non-compliance. Even the
busiest schedule can accommodate the
Perfecta® Bravó® treatment time of 30
minutes or Perfecta® REV!® with only 15
minutes of treatment time.
REV! Finishing Rinse - Specially buffered
an added boost to the final whitening effect.
Rinsing effect safely removes residual gel
from teeth and any soft tissue.
Contains an advanced form of highly stable
Vitamin C which is known to protect soft tissue
from any available free radicals and is known
to promote healthy teeth and gingiva.
Contains Pentasodium Triphosphate, a
sequestering ingredient that helps to “lift
and remove” enamel stain.
Alcohol-free, cool mint flavor which leaves the
mouth clean and refreshed after every treatment.
Take-Home Tooth Whitening
Avoid Dehydration
Perfecta® carbamide peroxide gels are
formulated with a predominantly glycol
base for minimal dehydration and sensitivity.
Other gels use glycerin as a base.
Glycerin tends to dehydrate the tooth,
thought to be a leading cause of thermal
hypersensitivity.
Avoid Thermal Hypersensitivity
A small percentage of patients may
experience thermal sensitivity associated
with whitening. By following a few
simple guidelines, you can minimize or
eliminate this side effect.
Select The Right Gel Strength
Perfecta 16%: Can remove a full range of
stains including those resulting from
tobacco, dark beverages and even
tetracycline. Wear time can be adjusted
for light stains and for those patients with
a history of thermal sensitivity.
Perfecta 21%: Tetracycline stains, fluorosis.
Dispense only to compliant patients with
no history of thermal sensitivity. Give
good instructions and frequently monitor
treatment progress.
Start Slowly
Patients should wear the tray for only
one hour the first day, then one hour
twice daily for the first week. Overnight
wear is not recommended due to a
greater incidence of thermal sensitivity
and tissue irritation.
PR – EMA® enamel microabrasion compound
is a patented acid-abrasive formulation used
to correct superficial white, brown or multicolored
“dysmineralization” enamel defects.
PR – EMA creates a plaque-resistant surface as
a result of its enamel glazing ability. 3
PR – EMA compound is applied with a 10:1
gear reduction contra angle, on a low-speed
handpiece, to safely remove a controlled,
insignificant amount of superficial enamel.
Enamel microabrasion does not recognizably
alter enamel surface contours; however,
it does permanently eliminate many
developmental enamel coloration defects
which do not penetrate deeply into the
enamel surface. The compound is an ideal
blend of specially formulated abrasive
powder and a mild concentration of
hydrochloric acid.
