INSTRUCTIONS FOR NEW BODINE MOTOR
FOR CAPTAIN B & EDGE GLUERS
October 10, 2005
Gluefast has an excellent new motor (Gluefast part number 8BODCAPT). This motor is
quieter and provides longer brush life and greater reliability than the previous motor
(part 8CAPT).
This motor uses a rectifier to enable the use of our standard variable speed control.
1. The white wire from the Variable
Speed Control must be connected
to the ~ connector on the rectifier.
2. The black wire from the power cord
connects to the ~ on the Rectifier.
3. Connect the wires from the
motor to the + and – on the
rectifier.
4. The remaining wires are the
black lead from the speed
control and the white wire from
the power cord. Connect those
two to complete hook up.
5. Adjust the pot on the variable speed control to set motor speed.
*Note: The + and – are diagonal from one another on the
rectifier. The ~ are also diagonal to each other.

If you connect the wires incorrectly the motor may turn the wrong way!
The speed of this motor is slower than the previous.
Please also note that the carbon brushes for this motor are part number
11&12BODCAPT.
