Nature Center Information<br />

George F Canyon is located on 36 acres of riparian and coastal sage scrub habitat. The<br />

Center is staffed with National Association for Interpretation certified naturalists to help<br />

visitors explore the dynamic <strong>canyon</strong> environment as it changes throughout the year.<br />

George F Canyon Nature Center and Preserve is located at 27305 <strong>Palos</strong> <strong>Verdes</strong> Drive East,<br />

Rolling Hills Estates CA 90274 at the southwest corner of <strong>Palos</strong> <strong>Verdes</strong> Drive East and<br />

Scouts<br />

Girl and Boy Scout Activity Badges<br />

Naturalists will assist you and your<br />

troop to earn nature-inspired badges.<br />

Programs are offered any day after school,<br />

and on weekends after the Center closes.<br />

Each troop will have exclusive use of the<br />

Nature Center and trail, a 2-hour program<br />

including a hike, and all necessary<br />

supplies to complete the badge. $12 per<br />

child, adults free.<br />

Eagle Scout Projects<br />

Due to significant commitment involved<br />

in Eagle Scout Projects, applicants are<br />

encouraged to call the Center to set an<br />

appointment and consult a maintained<br />

project idea list. The Center welcomes six<br />

projects per year.<br />
