The award winning <strong>Romeoville</strong> Recreation Department exists to provide quality recreational<br />
services to the <strong>Romeoville</strong> community through a diversified selection <strong>of</strong> classes, programs, athletic<br />
leagues and community events to all age groups. From toddlers to senior citizens every <strong>resident</strong><br />
can find an activity or event that will suit their needs. It is the desire <strong>of</strong> the Recreation Department<br />
to continue to add to its already wide variety <strong>of</strong> leisure time activities that are <strong>of</strong>fered to <strong>resident</strong>s.<br />
Recreation Center<br />
The 55,000 square foot Recreation Center is the hub <strong>of</strong> Recreation Department activities and<br />
features two full court gymnasiums, various program and meeting rooms, preschool classrooms,<br />
a gymnastics area, an indoor playground, a senior/teen center and a fitness center.<br />
The 3,000 square foot Fit 4 Life Fitness Center features state-<strong>of</strong>-the-art cardio and strength training<br />
equipment, locker rooms with showers and a beautiful aerial view <strong>of</strong> <strong>Village</strong> Park. A variety <strong>of</strong><br />
membership packages are available as well as personal training and aerobics classes.<br />
Parks & Recreation<br />
Open Gym and indoor walking is available every day <strong>of</strong> the week for certain age groups.<br />
Participants can get their daily walk in, practice their basketball skills or meet up with friends.<br />
Please contact the Recreation Department for hours as they may vary.<br />
Your child will have an adventure to remember at the Jungle Safari Indoor Playground. Slither<br />
through the anaconda slide, listen to the sounds <strong>of</strong> the jungle and let your imagination go WILD.<br />
The Jungle Safari also serves as a child care area for program and fitness center participants.<br />
Jungle passes are available for purchase.<br />
Birthday parties are another feature <strong>of</strong> Recreation Center <strong>of</strong>ferings. Choose from Dance, Sports,<br />
Pajama, Gymnastics and Jungle Safari Parties. All party packages include admission for 12<br />
children, a balloon decorated party room, pizza, drinks, a surprise for each child and a group<br />
photo.<br />
Rental opportunities are also available for the meeting rooms and gymnasium at the Recreation<br />
Center. These facilities are perfect for parties, banquets, showers, luncheons and other special<br />
events and activities.
