All public authorities and Government M<strong>in</strong>isters who<br />
licence activities <strong>in</strong> SACs and SPAs must assess<br />
applications <strong>in</strong> the light <strong>of</strong> the conservation <strong>in</strong>terest<br />
<strong>of</strong> the sites. <strong>The</strong> M<strong>in</strong>ister for the Environment and<br />
Local Government must assess acitivities not<br />
licenced by other M<strong>in</strong>isters or Authorities. Other<br />
bodies that have direct responsibility for<br />
implement<strong>in</strong>g conservation directives are as follows:<br />
