Competition<br />
In order to stimulate Nordic rotarians to register for <strong>Convention</strong> <strong>2006</strong> Nordic<br />
Promotion is <strong>in</strong>troduc<strong>in</strong>g a competition between the districts. The district <strong>in</strong> each<br />
country that will have most members registered will be awarded a prize. However<br />
the two host districts 1470 and 2390 will not participate <strong>in</strong> the competition as<br />
these districts are expected to have the highest number of registered members<br />
among all the 29 Nordic districts.<br />
The w<strong>in</strong>n<strong>in</strong>g district <strong>in</strong> each country will be the one reach<strong>in</strong>g the highest<br />
percentage of registration based on its total number of members.<br />
Deadl<strong>in</strong>e: March 1 st , <strong>2006</strong>.<br />
1 st prize. 300 free tickets for Tivoli Night or Swedish Night. Tickets can be<br />
distributed with<strong>in</strong> the district.<br />
2 nd prize. 200 free tickets for Tivoli Night or Swedish Night. Tickets can be<br />
distributed with<strong>in</strong> the district.<br />
3 rd prize. 100 free tickets for Tivoli Night or Swedish Night. Tickets can be<br />
distributed with<strong>in</strong> the district.<br />
For Island, hav<strong>in</strong>g just one district the number of registered members as well as<br />
total number of members will be <strong>in</strong>cluded <strong>in</strong> and co-ord<strong>in</strong>ated with the Danish<br />
district 1450.<br />

The registration for the <strong>Convention</strong> <strong>2006</strong> will be done on <strong>Rotary</strong> <strong>International</strong>’s<br />
homepage, based <strong>in</strong> Evanston, USA. This means that the registration for the<br />
<strong>Convention</strong> as such is be<strong>in</strong>g controlled centrally from the USA. On-l<strong>in</strong>e<br />
registration, download<strong>in</strong>g of registration forms and additional <strong>in</strong>formation can be<br />

Do you want to register for different Host-Ticketed-Events?<br />
Each <strong>Convention</strong> consists of different arrangements and events that groups<br />
with<strong>in</strong> Host Organization Committee (HOC) have planned for all visit<strong>in</strong>g Rotarians<br />
and their partners. The list of all planned activities is long. You cannot register for<br />
these Host-Ticketed-Events without first hav<strong>in</strong>g registered for the <strong>Convention</strong> as<br />
such and you have to use the registration number received when register<strong>in</strong>g for<br />
the <strong>Convention</strong>.<br />
The registration for the <strong>Convention</strong> <strong>2006</strong> must be done before you can register<br />
for any other programme. On the HOC home page you can read about all the<br />
different events and arrangements and register on-l<strong>in</strong>e or download a form that<br />
you can fill <strong>in</strong> and send by fax.<br />

Host Hospitality Night – register yourself or your club.<br />
Monday June 12 th Host Hospitality Night” will be arranged all over Sjælland, Fyn<br />
and Skåne by the different <strong>Rotary</strong> Clubs. It is up to each club how to plan this<br />
even<strong>in</strong>g. For <strong>in</strong>stance the club members can <strong>in</strong>vite 8 – 10 guests for d<strong>in</strong>ner <strong>in</strong><br />
their private homes for a nice even<strong>in</strong>g together. As an alternative the club can<br />
<strong>in</strong>vite 40-60 guests to a meet<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> the club that even<strong>in</strong>g with a programme<br />
suitable for the foreign guests. Several clubs can jo<strong>in</strong> and <strong>in</strong>vite 100-300 guests<br />
to a theatre, concert or other k<strong>in</strong>ds of enterta<strong>in</strong>ment.<br />
The clubs will take care of the transportation from Malmö and <strong>Copenhagen</strong> and<br />
offer food and enterta<strong>in</strong>ment to the guests.<br />
No doubt Host Hospitality Night is one of the most popular arrangements and<br />
through the years it has brought many wonderful memories and experiences.<br />
About 5000 visit<strong>in</strong>g Rotarians are expected to participate <strong>in</strong> Host Hospitality<br />

ity_Night<br />
Home Stay<br />
Home Stay is an <strong>in</strong>vitation to all foreign guests to come and stay with a European<br />
family either before or after the <strong>Convention</strong>. The guests have to register through<br />
the normal registration channels for events or tours.<br />
Those who are <strong>in</strong>terested to be a Home Stay host however have to announce<br />
this at the HOC homepage, where also more details about this programme can<br />
